I like how Bison fans can now brag about winning championships since they only had a 21 year drought in their premiere sport. Once they move back down to the middle of the MVFC the bragging may cease a little.

And how did your premiere sport of football do its second year out of transition that's right 3-8, and look where they are now. You know UND also has a history of being on top. Just because you are last (for us our first year out of transition) doesn't mean we will stay in the cellar forever.

If the NFL does tell the Redskins/Chiefs to change their name, the rest of major sports may do the same. Indians/Braves, Blackhawks, (strangely enough there is no Indian nicknames in the NBA as Golden State uses a knight as their Warrior logo (which I think UND should do). With those sports always looking for the $$$$$ in merchandising there is no way they will change their names. (as an Indians fan I would be pissed if Cleveland got rid of Chief Wahoo).

Why? Memorial Stadium never had a midfield logo, or even an NCC logo. Just Sioux in the endzones. (oh how I wish I could see that in the black endzones)

Who cares about a logo at the 50 yard line. Shouldn't we care more about the end zone than midfield? The end zones look great with the black, the Alerus Center and Altru logos are fine too. Maybe in 2015 with the new nickname we may get a logo on the 50 but if we don't so what. It's just turf. Bison fans bitch about their dome not being bison enough outside while UND fans are bitching about the playing surface not UND enough. How about we just get over the turf and get ready for the season.
