If there is a p5/g5 split how many g5 teams will try to bolt to a p5 conference, as they will claim the g5 will be "watered down" with upper FCS teams, even though its the same teams beating them in non-conference play.

I have been trying different lakes in ND (I don't have a MN license) that is kid friendly (fishing pier) and has good fishing, just wondering what lakes people go to that is good for those with kids (my youngest is 5 1/2) and have no boat. I live in Fargo and I have tried Brewer Lake by Erie, Mooreton Pond by Wahpeton, Dead Colt Creek by Lisbon, Lake Elsie by Hankinson, and West Lake at Napoleon while visiting Beaver Lake State Park. Most places are within a couple hours of my home so it's a nice family getaway.

I thought that thread was going fine, Bison fans are going to pump up their team and that's fine (annoying ) but fine, and UND fans are going to re-butt what they say (I do that) so it keeps the rival going and the "mudslinging" to a minimum. But I would ban those people who use personal attacks against someone. That garbage doesn't belong is this or any thread. Banning someone who is a Bison fan isn't the answer (they do that practice at BV), maybe the mods need to jump in and warn people more often who is flirting with the rules and if it doesn't stop then give them a timeout and send them to the corner. Bubba has coached 1 season, got UND to almost .500 with Mussman's players and got the defense towards the top of the country...IN ONE YEAR!! Now year 2 Bubba is getting recruits signed earlier than Muss ever did, and he is restoring confidence in the players and fans that haven't been seen since 2007. This is a good start and after this season we will really see where this new era is going. I don't recall anyone saying we are going to win a NC in 5 years, but I would hope in 5 years we are towards the top if not on top of the conference plus a couple of playoff berths.

It proves our football program does more with its "limited" funds, kinda like other non-football schools. Could Kansas or Duke be a football powerhouse of the funds weren't geared towards basketball? Could NDSU win more NC in other sports if they didn't gear the funds towards football? But let's ignore that fact and count rings.

But our hockey case is full and that's where the money goes, so UND football if funded like NDSU would have a lot of trophies.

It was a long climb to not only de-throne NDSU but make the playoffs year after year and play 2 NC games from 2001-2003, while UND was on top of the NCC world and becoming a known name across the DII world they were also winning NC in women's bb and hockey, not bad where football isn't our #1 sport. Funny how the Fargodome didn't host one single DII playoff game while the Alerus hosted numerous ones in your last days of DII.

NDSU was never on top prior to 2011, in fact your fanbase was calling for Bohl's head after a 3-8 season just 6 short seasons ago. I wonder what was being said about NDSU on SDSU's, UNI's among other message boards. UND was at the bottom of the NCC when Roger Thomas took over in 1986 and it was a long climb but UND make it to the top, Bubba was there when it happened and saying they can't do it again is just ignorance and fright.
