Just a history lesson, UND while nicknamed the Flickertails considered themselves the Nodaks even thought it was the unofficial nickname. So UND was the Nodaks official and unofficial from the beginning until the Sioux name was born in the 30's.

Rename them the RRHS Pride

Isn't North Dakota and Nodaks the same thing?

Knowing these people they will say Sundogs are too "violent" as a name.

They like Nodaks but don't know about mascots and such.

After football and men's basketball nothing else matters says the Bison AD. At UND all sports matters says the UND AD.

I never said they didn't. It happens everywhere.

Which is why I hope we pick an actual nickname.

We need more local DI teams at home so why USD is still not on the schedule is a head scratcher, I hope we continue to play SDSU every year. Shouldn't be any reason why we can't have all 3 Dakota teams on the schedule every year.

I agree, Bubba worked a miracle getting Muss's players on the ball and having those players reach a level that wasn't there. Now with more of Bubba's players filtering in that defense isn't going to give up much, on the flip side our offense sputtered to get going thanks a lot to injury at the QB position which can cause an offense to collapse. Hopefully Mollberg is ready to go when Fall camp starts and we have the RB situation figured out I think the offense should be a lot better than last year.

UNDColorado nailed it. When Lennon left UND was one of the top attendance teams in DII then when Muss failed to produce the same kind of records and the lack of DI teams during transition just killed attendance to a level of the Memorial Stadium days. Now with Bubba turning the team around and the lack of non DI teams I hope of attendance of 10k+ grows and grows. NDSU didn't start having the attendance they have now without their championship runs of 2011-today. There were tickets available anywhere prior to 2010, so it's simple....win and they will come.
