  1. Really? Any names that have been mentioned?
  2. Congrats on a huge win to UND fans. Caught the game a bit sporadically and UND looked damn good. Looks like the UND of my era, which is good for you guys, but will be tough for the rest of the MVFC.
  3. I’m not privy to any details on his ndsu recruitment, but if he’s half as good as his dad or his uncle, ndsu made a huge mistake not going hard after him.
  4. I see what you’re saying, but it’s an odd critique given the context was NDSU’s recruiting under Entz could be falling off. Is Bo Belquist playing for UND this weekend somehow evidence that UNDs recruiting is worse? Of course not. Players step up when asked to.
  5. Yeah, I’m sure UND would hate to have more fans in the seats that don’t understand the game very well. Their money is no good in Grand Forks. Success expands the fanbase, they aren’t all gonna be football experts.
  6. Couldn’t you say the same thing about any starter? Did they earn the job or are they simply the best player the team has? Not sure what your point is.
  7. Nobody is making excuses. Simply discussing this literal once in a 100 years scenario all teams are in right now. I’m not saying ndsu is more or less prepared to adapt than any other team out there, just that the teams that are able to adapt will rise to the top. Will ndsu be one of them, we’ll find out.
  8. This unique spring season will be challenging for everyone, but even more challenging for teams who are replacing many key positions. As I talked about, after one game it’s hard to take anything away from it. Was the lack of rhythm on offense a factor of a fall off in talent, inexperience, it being an odd spring season, first game jitters? I’m sure it’s a combination of it all at this point. The good teams will be standing at the end of the season, I’m hoping NDSU is among them.
  9. The offense didn’t look great. In Noland it appears for the first time in over a decade we don’t have a QB who will change the game with his legs. His arm looks strong, but he was inaccurate at times. How much of that is first game jitters/early season lack of timing? It’s hard to say. Losing Seth Wilson again is a real bummer, he was the best all around back we had in my opinion. We’ll see, should be an interesting spring season here. If the offense does take a significant step back, hopefully the defense is strong enough to set the offense up with great field position and solid opportunities.
  10. The jury is still out on Entz in my book, but the recruiting certainly doesn’t appear to have dropped off in his first two/three classes. We’ll see if the player development is able to keep pace in the next couple of years. Jalen Bussey, Kobe Johnson, Dominic Ganella are all contributing already and we’ll have to see on others. Not a ton to go on just yet, this spring season and the fall will be the first real look we have at Entz’ guys.
  11. Will Ohio state get enough games in to be considered? They need to win their final two games(assuming they are played) to even be eligible for the B10 championship.
  12. What makes you jump to the conspiracy argument? You know it’s incredibly rare for a 1/1 ratio between caregiver and patients right? They must be including administrative staff.
  13. ND has an equal amount of workers and residents in long term care? That surprises me.
  14. They’d have a better chance for sure under today’s rules, but no real chance in a head to head for any of those positions either.
  15. Girls would figure out pretty quick where they fit in athletically if they are actually gonna compete for men’s positions on a college football team. Line them up, may the best person win.
  16. The author is Jordain Carney, what point were you trying to make by saying look her up?
  17. What an odd criticism. In the midst of a global pandemic and forced closure of businesses, massive unemployment that everybody knew would be short term, Congress came together with a spending bill so people didn’t starve to death. It was clearly a unique time and it required a unique approach. Criticize the GOP for any other increases in government spending, but not the CARES act.
  18. What are your best sources of information internationally. I’m genuinely looking for a place where an unbiased view of events can be found. As for now, I look at foxnews, cnn and msnbc and am forced to believe that the truth lies somewhere in between all of these news sources’ BS.
  19. And misinformation from our government started in 2016? Seek help.
  20. Still has literally nothing to do with my question.
  21. Thanks for your usual non-answer. You contribute to this discussion in no way.
  22. As a general thought, do the left leaning folks in this discussion believe that misinformation campaigns exist at the highest levels in our country? If the answer is yes, do you then acknowledge that they exist across the board, left and right? If yes, how would you go about discerning true from false? Is it simply deciding to trust a certain news source or is there more to it than that for you?
  23. I agree and understand that assessment, but with how poorly Biden performed in traditional Democratic strongholds, it just seems unlikely for him to then have had a record amount of votes. Higher voter turnout, I get it, but you’d think the ratios for certain areas would have been more consistent than they were.
  24. But what’s even more odd, per the article, is the places where Dems traditionally crush, Trump made in roads. You’d think that with the higher voter turnout in those areas Biden would have gained the extra votes in those areas instead of others.
  25. Fair enough, that makes sense. What is your take on the article posted pointing out all the historically unique voting trends that took place in order for Biden to win. I’m not claiming they point to fraud, just more evidence of how odd this election was in comparison to history.
