  1. “Better” can mean a lot of things. Easton was objectively better than Carson in college. Statistically better in nearly every category. Being “better” for the nfl is a very different conversation. Tim Tebow is considered by many to be the greatest college QB ever, but his game doesn’t translate as well to the nfl where they put a premium on a different skill set. Easton isn’t your ideal NFL QB, but his intelligence and ability to know what he is and what he isn’t, I believe will translate into a decent career as a backup in the nfl.
  2. Sounds like wishful thinking to me. All known information is to the contrary so you’d have to admit you’re being slightly biased. On the other two, Stick was drafted to be a career backup. That’s what fifth rounders are for. Wentz being drafted so highly makes the expectations very high obviously, but even with those expectations he’s done enough to not be listed as a bust IMO.
  3. So your post reads, he’ll be getting a lot of money to play against NFL teams? Umm...yes...he’s in the NFL now.
  4. Horrible take, on all counts. Easton a mouth breather? Haha. His intelligence and in game decision making is what got him drafted.
  5. Assuming you mean Wentd and stick. Wentz could be classified as a bust if he doesn’t return to a top 10 Qb at some point, though it could be argued even one MVP caliber season(injury shortened) takes someone out of the running to be called a bust. With Stick I don’t see how it could be argued he’s a bust. 5th round draft picks aren’t taken for guys you expect to start. He’s gonna be a career backup which is almost exactly what you’d expect out of a 5th rounder.
  6. The person I was responding to was definitely upset so I was speaking directly to him. As a Sioux fan maybe I should explain to you how quoting a post works. Turnabout is fair play, no?
  7. For sure, it was an odd choice and not one I would have made.
  8. As a coach trying to do right by a hard working player by getting into the end zone is a fine justification. Add to that what the JMU poster pointed out in terms of history of easing off and it becomes a non issue. It isn’t as if they did an onside kick or threw a long pass play. They ran a running play. Did it need to be done, no. But these unwritten rules of gamesmanship and respect have a massive gray area and are usually only offensive because the losing team is salty about being beat.
  9. It would be a mistake to assume that what gets posted on Bisonville is representative of NDSU’s fan base. In my experience with bisonville and then subsequently finding out who the real people are behind the avatars, there are only a handful of people who post there regularly who are actually plugged in meaningfully to the athletic program. (I don’t consider myself one of them btw) UND has always been our main rival and will likely always be our main rival. My only thought was since it’s been on the back burner for 15 years, I wonder if a lot of the players see it that way. I’ve had many conversations with players in the last 10 years who had no idea UND was a rival of NDSUs. Which is understandable given the circumstances in my opinion.
  10. Better have them. I’m not sure you can even call it a safe space without those things.
  11. I’m sure they have a safe space with a weighted blanket and a white noise machine for you on UND’s campus so you can become “untriggered”
  12. You are talking a lot for a guy who also had his team eliminated yesterday.
  13. Don’t mistake discussion for insecurity. It’s a tired insult. We have more losses at home than on the road, though as you pointed out more games at home so the percentage is better. Although, if you take into account 2-3 warmup games, always at home most of those years and just get it down to conference games and playoffs. It’s damn close. This discussion is borne out of people dismissing NDSU’s success because “they never have to leave the Fargodome” Yep, that’s how it works in the playoffs
  14. Again, if you’re on the road in the playoffs, you are typically an underdog. correlation doesn’t equal causation. ndsu wouldn’t have won that game at home yesterday either. What narrative are you pushing? That if NDSU wasn’t undefeated/a one loss team in regular season for the last 10 years, they would have had to go on the road and had less national championships? That homefield advantage was earned in the regular season. Before yesterday ndsu had just as many losses at home as they did on the road so let’s not get carried away here. home or away, ndsu has been nearly unbeatable for a decade.
  15. As others have said, ndsu has no problem winning on the road, they simply got beat by a better team yesterday. Yes, NDSU almost pulled it off and probably should have frankly. But they were fortunate to even be in the game at the end with the way the offense performed. Embarrassing really. We’ll see what happens this fall, but those of us who have been really paying attention and not just looking at the W/L column have seen a concerning trend since Entz took the reigns. Hopefully he gets control of the team and gets things on the right track, but I’m not bullish on that at this stage and it has nothing to do with not winning another NC.
  16. Best of luck today to the Fighting Hawks. If things fall into place for both ND teams today, it would be a lot of fun to match up again for a chance at the NC game.
  17. Is this directed at me? If so, which day are you speaking about?
  18. Help me understand why you tagged me, I don’t read the hockey thread.
  19. Nope, but a reasonable discussion of the facts is always welcomed and entertaining.
  20. Is it a conscious decision on your part to make up a phantom opposing argument to fit something you can refute or aren’t you able to control it? I blocked you for a reason a couple of years back, should’ve trusted my previous judgement. Won’t happen again.
