  1. As of today, only two of them are in. And there are 4 NCHC teams in. Ohio State plays 12 more games, half of which are against teams ranked 38th or below. They showed last weekend that they can lose to anyone, so they better hope they can at least split against MN and Wisco and not drop any games to Mich or Mich State.
  2. Any updates on the Inter-Conference standings? Looks like there is only one conference above .600 and the 2nd conference is a lot closer to the 3rd than it is to the 1st.
  3. Midco can't add an ASN channel because there isn't one. ASN is a sports-production group that offers up their content to different channels throughout the country. Midco has picked up some of the ASN games in the past and should have this year but the cable company side of Midco screwed up. Send some emails to Midco to ask them to pick up any future ASN games.
  4. Looks a lot like a b10 championship game today at the gophers game
  5. Mountain time. It's become a bit of a trend here in the Springs with both CC and Air Force adopting some early Saturday games. It likely helps draw more fans because you're not out until at least 10 pm.
  6. A handful of people are meeting up at Fieldhouse Brewery on the south side of downtown on Saturday around 2. They have some great beers and the best food truck in town will be there too.
  7. Don't be surprised if Tomek or Hrynkiw get at least one start this weekend. Cam has been dealing with an injury.
  8. Prior to 2018, UND will be a full-time member of the Big Sky for basketball/volleyball/football. UND will be playing a Summit basketball/volleyball schedule from 2018 on. UND is playing a Big Sky Football schedule through 2019. In 2020, UND football will be playing a MVFC schedule.
  9. It's a much more western conference now especially with the success of the Dakota schools in all sports. Youngstown and UND are the same distance from Missouri State and about just as difficult to get to by flight. UNI has another bus trip. Those eastern teams have less of a voice now that there are so many western teams.
  10. Huge difference in the MAC and WAC. MAC Current football members: 12 MAC Former Football members: 8 WAC Former Football members: 27 The MAC has been stable since 1971, although some could argue 1952. The WAC was stable from 67-99 when the MWC formed under rules that are no longer allowed by the NCAA. You won't be seeing a new conference form in the east that is going to poach MAC teams unless the P5 completely breaks away.
  11. Ah yes, look at all of the teams that moved to FBS in order to cut costs!
  12. Article: http://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/4204979-sources-und-set-leave-big-sky-conference
  13. Some people who work for Midco Sports Net wishes Midco the cable company would do the same. Unfortunately, there seems to be a bit of a disconnect between the cable side of things and what the Sports Net side of things thinks is smart.
  14. You're a pro at finding anything to bitch about. A win over the number one team in the league? Let's bash the hockey team. Find some happiness in sports, it will make supporting und more fun.
  15. We're talking about Dave, right?
  16. You're touting the record of each team over a third conference to show how good a conference is? Why not just look at head to head where it's clear the NCHC is better. That's like saying the Miami Dolphins are better than the Patriots because the Patriots lost to the Bills.
  17. 3 teams from the Big10? That's hilarious. You realize Ohio State is on the bubble and they can't really improve their PWR much with 12 of their 16 games left against teams ranked 26, 37, and 50?
  18. Shhhhuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnnnnn
  19. Weird that the Big10 only has a 4-8-4 record vs the NCHC. If only the NCHC had played the five extra games against AHA and those two extra games against Arizona State, they could be upwards of .700.
  20. Still feel the same way? Alex has been significantly better than Hammer who was better than story time with Pat Sweeney.
  21. How can the WAC be an FCS league without losing its FBS conference status?
  22. Expensive at $100 plus fees but there are some available here: http://www.ticketsnow.com/UND/InventoryBrowse/University-of-North-Dakota-Hockey-Tickets-at-Ralph-Engelstad-Arena-in-Grand-Forks-1-21-2017?PID=1970001
  23. Ok, so a lot of random things. Too many random things to go through one by one. My big question is who are the teams that will make up the WAC both for football and all sports? Based on what you've said just in this post for football: UND, Montana, MSU, Idaho, EWU. NMSU, Liberty, Lamar, SHSU, SFA, Wichita State. In addition to those, here are the basketball teams: CSU Bakersfield, Grand Canyon, Seatlle, UMKC, UT Rio Grande Valley, Utah Valley and temporarily Chicago State. 16 teams in the basketball conference? or are you expecting some of those to go to the "Big Sky" which would be a non-football location? If so, then your new big sky for non-football is: CSU Bakersfield, Grand Canyon, Seatle, UMKC, UT Rio Grande Valley, Utah Valley, Weber St, Portland State, UNC, Sac State, SUU, NAU, Idaho State. A 14 team league that spreads from Seattle to way south Texas. Two flights that if lucky, would only be 6 1/2 hours of travel. Here's the map of this alleged new Big Sky, although I accidentally had EWU in there: and here is the new WAC, because those teams will get people excited to go to games!
  24. While I'm pumping some of my video work with the NCHC... here's one I did on Miami's freshman goalie Ryan Larkin. He joined the RedHawks in the spring semester last year as he was rehabbing from a season ending injury. Gave him a bit of a head-start on familiarity with the Miami program: http://www.nchc.tv/miami/video/miami-inside-the-nchc---miamis-ryan-larkin-1-4-17
