  1. My guess is that they really like him and they want to make sure they don't lose him if he stays in school through his senior season, and has the option to wait until August 2012 to become a free agent. Didn't they lose Blake Wheeler like that?
  2. Here's a link to an interview with Brad Treliving, VP of Hockey Operations and Assistant GM with the Coyotes: Treliving Interview At about the 12 minute mark, he's asked about college prospects in their system who might be coming next year. Regarding Hextall, he says "Hextall is a player who, in the next day or so, we're trying to get done .... so he'll be coming out."
  3. Earlier in this thread, there's mention of agreements with Boston U and Vermont over the next few years. Perhaps we'll be making the trip to one of those schools next season?
  4. Pony! Without a doubt. The way he plays is the way I hope my sons play the game someday.
  5. I'm sure INCH will figure out a way to spin it into a negative against UND fans. Probably blast us for not cheering loud enough. Those guys are a bunch of clowns!
  6. I have 1 extra ticket for the championship game in section C33. Asking $100 or best offer. Email fargosioux@cableone.net if interested.
  7. I've seen some Sioux players walking around St. Paul today (57 degrees and sunny by the way), so I assume Matt will have some teammates at the ceremony tonight.
  8. USCHO has some details about the "Friday Night at the Frozen Four" event: USCHO: Friday Night at the Frozen Four Here's a list of college hockey legends who will be attending:
  9. A friend of mine emailed somebody at the XCEL Center with some quesitons, including which end the Sioux will be shooting at twice. Here was the response:
  10. For those of you who can't get to the Star Tribune article, I found this reprint on another paper's site: Sacramento Bee - Frattin Article
  11. Most recent matchup between these two teams, so it's bound to be most fresh in my memory. Funny story, there was a kid all dressed up in Bulldog gear sitting right in front of me that night, and he didn't quite care for me cheering for the Sioux. By the end of the night I swear he had switched his allegiance to UND. He was turning around and giving me knuckles whenever the Sioux scored.
  12. I just remember going to check out that fancy new rink, but feeling like I didn't quite get my money's worth as I didn't get to hear what the goal horn sounds like. I'm sure it's pretty cool!
  13. McNaughton Cup Broadmoor Trophy NCAA Championship 2011 Fighting Sioux Hockey -- Tri-Winning!
  14. Only listed on hockeysfuture.com as one of the top 10 undrafted college players. I guess his stock isn't as bad as you suggest: Hockey's Future Link
  15. The back of the tickets say that everyone 2 years of age and older must have a ticket. It also says that entry will be at the venue's discretion, unless proof of age is provided. If the child looks younger than 2, I'd probably take my chances. If you carry him/her in, I doubt anybody would question it.
  16. He went out of his way to interact with my 2 kids at the Fan Fest this year also.
  17. Wish I wouldn't have used up my +1 for the day already!
  18. Reaching 70 points in a season, which hasn't happened since 2003 (Senja, who also won the Hobey), is a pretty strong argument for Miele. Hoping Matt wins, but if even before this inside information, I felt it was Miele's to lose. I'm sure Matt would be fine with the "consolation prize" of a national title on Saturday!
  19. It says "No Re-Entry" on the tickets, and in the letter that was included. I know that between the Thursday games at Final Five, there was no re-entry also, but I had some friends who went through the smoking exit between games and got their tickets scanned for re-admittance. Not sure if it will work the same way for the Frozen Four, and not sure I'd try it myself.
  20. I'll be there with my family in Club level. I needed 5 tickets to accommodate me, my wife and 3 kids, and didn't know how that was going to work out. We had put in for two groups of four in the lottery, and when we got our tickets, they were actually located in the same section with one group directly behind the others. I guess it's just meant to be this year! Other good Sioux fans will be sitting in my extra seats.
  21. Kind of a dbag move to tweet about it at any time. This is the same guy that was tweeting before the regionals about how his team was gonna win 4 in a row. That didn't work out too well for him. I think Cam kind of likes himself a bit!
  22. N No alcohol as it is an NCAA event.
