  1. Wow, does this bring back memories!
  2. WMU kept Denver off the scoreboard for 56 minutes. Bold prediction here, but I think we'll keep them off the scoreboard for 60. 4-0 Sioux! Frattin gets a goal for the 10th straight game to secure the Hobey. Genoway, Hextall, & Rodwell score too. St. Paul here we come!
  3. ... therefore it should not be a goal!
  4. I'm picking UNH to come out of Manchester as a #4 seed, and Union to come out of Bridgeport. No other upsets, which means we get our standard Frozen Four semifinal matchup with BC.
  5. Was in St. Louis tonight on business and took in the Blues-Oilers game. Oshie was the first star and Porter was the second star in a 4-0 win. Also, Vande played for the Oilers. And yes, it would have worked out very well for me if the Sioux would have been placed in the West Regional this weekend!
  6. If UND makes the title game, are you still going to claim that the Force are a better team than UND?
  7. Stay out of the box! I posted this earlier a few weeks ago, but the Sioux have averaged over 25 penalty minutes per game in each of our 8 losses this season. In the games that were wins or ties, that average is 12 penalty minutes per game. If we can play disciplined enough to keep that number down around 10-12 or lower the next 4 games, I believe we hang #8! This could be difficult considering the non-conference refs we'll see the rest of the way. (Why do I have a feeling we'll be seeing Shegos in at least a couple games?)
  8. That's my understanding as well. According to Brad, since he's 25, he's exempt from the entry-level restrictions, which may be a big reason he came back for his senior season.
  9. I said it earlier this year that I wouldn't be suprised to see Union in the Frozen Four, as this year's verion of RIT (first time in the NCAAs and making the F4). Now, seeing the bracket they are in, I feel they have a very good shot. I'm not sold on Duluth right now, and I believe Union is a better team than Yale.
  10. I sat by some Gopher fans this weekend, and they said the same thing. They were actually joking about finding another WCHA team to follow.
  11. Same guy that started that thread has been trolling over on the Sioux Name forum too.
  12. There's nothing stopping people from buying them for face, then turning around and selling them to somebody else for a profit. Not sure how they could take away somebody's priority status in this situation.
  13. If UNO doesn't make the tournament, I think it's time for Blais to go.
  14. Yes, apparently there are scenarios where UNO does not make the tournament.
  15. I ran a scenario where UND loses on Friday and still gets the #1 seed overall. It has Yale losing twice and BC losing to Northeastern.
  16. Here are Moy's current brackets, as of Monday morning: East Regional (Bridgeport) 16 RIT vs. 1 Yale 9 Union vs. 8 Merrimack West Regional (St. Louis) 13 Nebraska-Omaha vs. 4 Michigan 12 Western Michigan vs. 6 Denver Midwest Regional (Green Bay) 15 Dartmouth vs. 2 North Dakota 10 Notre Dame vs. 7 Minnesota-Duluth Northeast Regional (Manchester) 14 Colorado College vs. 3 Boston College 11 New Hampshire vs. 5 Miami I agree with these brackets. Straight bracket integrity, with one switch (Denver & Miami) to avoid a first-round intraconference matchup (Miami & W. Michigan). Also, I don't think we see UND get moved to St. Louis if we have a potential St. Louis bracket that looks like this. I don't think attendance would be all that bad.
  17. Story from the Forum: Forum Link I'm in the same boat as you. Doesn't look promising.
  18. Still available. Could meet in Fargo-Moorhead today, or somewhere in GF before the game.
  19. From Brad's blog: That's pretty impressive!
  20. I have 2 tickets available for the Friday playoff game vs. Michigan Tech. Section 107 Row H. Price is $90 for the pair. PM me or email fargosioux@cableone.net if interested.
  21. I don't agree with his switch of UNO and Denver. You're moving Denver (#5) into a potential regional final matchup with BC (#2), and giving Michigan (#4) a lower seed in UNO (#7). It screws up the bracket integrity too much. Regarding UND vs. UNO, I've said it before, but I'd love to see Hakstol vs. Blais facing off on April 9th.
  22. St. Louis is Friday-Saturday and Green Bay is Saturday-Sunday.
