It would be interesting to know what the "conditional" part of the trade is. Could it be that Everett found out he wasn't coming there, and made a trade with Portland to give them a chance to sign him, but the trade is coningent on them actually signing him? I don't know enough about how these conditional trades work. Does anybody know if this is a possibility?

I'd like to see the National go to the Target Center in years that the Big Ten is at the X, and go head-to-head with them. I think the Twin Cities just makes the most sense from an attendance standpoint.

He could still go back to Omaha in 3 or 4 years, after he got head coaching experience somewhere else. I see Pearson doing the same thing with Michigan when Red ever decides to retire.

Wilcox and Gothberg are both similar-caliber goalies. They are both NHL draft picks, and are among the top goalies in the USHL. I think both Minnesota and UND will be fine in goal next season. Not sure what Minnesota has for depth, since we didn't hardly get to see their backup this season.

I was thinking the same exact thing. I think there's a chance they would move #2 Michigan to St. Paul for more bracket integrity. I think we could see UND & Denver battling it out in Green Bay again, even if the Sioux win tonight.

This is why tonight's game is so important for this team's chances to get to Tampa. As a #1 seed, we'd have the last line change, and I like our chances a lot more when Hakstol can set up the matchups he wants.

Let's not forget what Mario brings to the table on the penalty kill. Also, his faceoff percentage is not far behind Corban. Might not be a pure scorer like others, but I love the way he plays the game. He knows what his role is and he fills it very well.
