  1. Correct. The goalie that limits the soft ones each night will probably get their team the win.
  2. Problem is Brett would have thrown 3 picks prior to that play! Teddy T is an ass, but I'm glad we got A-Rodg. As for Favre...will see how he does Sunday. My guess is that he will not play as well as Rodgers did yesterday.
  3. As a Packer fan, I totally agree. Rodgers just flat out missed that throw. All things being equal, it should have never gone to OT. How many times is Yackers going to miss from 34 yards out! You just can't spot the home team 17 points, especially in a playoff game! I told a buddy the only way GB loses that game is if the D totally collapses and that's what happened. I could have caught passes in the middle 1/3 of the field yesterday. Pathetic!!
  4. Especially the ones when he is leaving the ice for a line change. I know he had 2 of those for sure this past series...possibly 3. The one at the end of last night's 1st period was about as stupid as he has had all year and it cost as the Mavs scored a PP goal!
  5. There were a couple of hotties below us that a guy wouldn't have had a hard time chasing around the concourse! Just don't remember them looking quite like that when I was at UND! WOW is definitely the correct term.
  6. I'd be as giddy about 3 points vs. UM as my 4 yr. old was when she got Dippin' Dots last night!
  7. There are reasons some of these kids come back for their Sr. year...wouldn't suprise me if he considers a medical hardship.
  8. If he isn't able to play by the DU series, that's the last weekend in Jan., when does he and the coaching staff consider calling it a year? It's a mute point if he has no intention of taking a medical hardship year. He'd have to get into game shape plus getting him back into the rotation mix. Just a thought?
  9. Agree...this coming weekend plus the following 2 will tell us where this team really is. We just took 4 points from 'kato and we are still 6th in the league (WI has 2 games in hand). Playing a lower seeded league team again this coming weekend in UMn requires us to get of the majority points! A split will do us little. BTW...Knight says after Fri. game he's "ok". Brad states he's out 4-6 weeks and "probably longer".
  10. I was wonder if you or Goon were going to catch that! My $ was on you! Not that Goon is slow or anything...
  11. Since when did stating facts about what has transpired so far this year become "negativity"? I root for the guys wearing the UND sweaters as much as the next guy, but this team is sitting SIXTH in the league. They are playing a lower seeded team in the league at home this weekend. UND needs 4 points this weekend...period. The team's injuries are what they are. If, if , if...tired of hearing that! Genoway is out "indefinitely"...right now there is no "if" there. Hextall is out a minimum of 4 weeks...there is no "if" there either. This team needs to do something NOW...with the talented players they currently have. The talent is there to win with who will put on the ice this weekend. I expect both Chay and Hexy to be back at some point, but if they come back and we are still 6th, still a handful game over .500 and it's mid Febuary, is there going to be enough time for all the "if"s Goon, brianvf, ect... talk about?
  12. In your scenerio, they would be set up pretty well. I look at things as how they have played, not how they might play. They can't protect 2 goal lead at all, they have not won a single 1 goal game yet this season, they don't have a goalie that will give a 40+ save outing and steal you a game or you. And we don't score alot of goals. Not saying they can't put together a second 1/2 run, but going on the road to UM, SCSU and CC will not be as easy as you seem to think IMO.
  13. Ok then, let's say we see a split this weekend. Where on the schedule do you see another potenital 3-4 point league weekend...minus the last weekend vs. MI. Tech? At Minny...doubtful. DU at home...doubtful. At SCSU...doubtful. UMD at home...maybe. At CC...doubtful. But you're right...we'll have to see.
  14. I thinks it's safe to say if we don't get 4 points this weekend, the prospects of even getting home ice for the WCHA playoffs will take a big hit.
  15. Potentially...that's why they probably gave the "4-6" weeks scenerio. Generally speaking a Grade 1 MCL tear is 1-2 weeks recovery. Grade 2 tear...3-4 weeks. Grade 3 tear...6 weeks. This is, again, if the MCL is his only issue in the knee.
  16. IF reports are true that it's his knee and it's 4-6 weeks with no surgery....MCL sprain or parital tear is my call.
  17. At some point, some people need to understand this team is what it is and stop sugar-coating things. This is a solid college hockey team...not great. They lack snipers and finishers. Goaltending is solid, but you're not gonna get a 40+ save, steal agame from anyone in net. Injuries are part of the game. Enough of "if Chay was back", "if...". Maybe at some point UND will have a full squad, but right now they don't. They can't play with a 2 goal lead. They can't win a 1 goal game. When you add all this up at the current stage of this season, we have a good college hockey team that has some glaring issues that are consistanly evident almost every time out. Time to give up...no, but also time to take this team for what it is at this point and put away the green tinted glasses and stop with the what ifs!
  18. I like the look of those 3 lines! Have to keep Trupp and Malone together. Kristo with those 2...wow! No offense to anyone playing for UND so far this year, but I just thought (prior to his issues) that Frattin would be one of, if not, the best returning players coming into this season.
  19. We shot 29% for the game! And when you give up 80+ playing a zone defense... 1-12 and on our way to 1 and...
  20. So what you are saying is he doesn't have the "dog and pony show" up and running like Joe did???
  21. Not going to happen with Hanson bringing a little respect back to the SU presidency...even if he is only on a interim basis. Now if "Ponzi" Joe was still there, he'd swindle whatever he could get from the state!
  22. I get that, but they haven't spent EVERY day together since late Sept.
  23. I was thinking the same thing after watching the game. Our PP play, minus the Trupp PP goal, was awful. And our passing not much better. Was suprised at how good Team USA looked for only a couple of practices.
  24. He's a SU alum and is probably a lilttle shocked by mess Joe left behind. Kudos to Hanson for trying to institute some accountability and reponsibility. He seems to be the anti-Joe from what you see and read here in Fargo.
  25. Which officially starts in 12 days.
