    UND v GVSU

That's a tough call because when we were up 103-0 at half vs. Humbolt, I really never had a sense we had control of the game.
  2. You got it! Jeanotte and Co. lead the charge from UND's side and His Horse Is Thunder is as clueless as many of our "white" politicians! This is purely political, make no mistake about it. It is not an issue of what is best and what is desired by the NA population as a whole.
  3. Why is that? Are one of those that has a face for radio or these message boards?? Don't sell yourself short!
  4. Read lots of your posts. Kudos to you for being a "glass half full" guy. When you see them play live, like this weekend, it is quite disturbing. No jump, no urgency, no intensity. You put TJ, Dunc, Chorney on the ice to start the game on Sat, with all the other talent on this team, vs. UMD and lay an egg is disturbing...not postal worker disturbing, but disturbing none the less
  5. Bags full of guilt or disappointment??
  6. Didn't play real well on Friday, but the dam broke on UMD in the 3rd. JPL wasn't real sharp on Fri. either. So UND wins a game handily when they weren't sharp in any phase--the PP looks pathetic. So then they come out Sat. with no real jump and play less than stellar again. They did have their moments Sat. and got a jump after tying it at 2. They looked stronger 4 on 4, but a bounce killed them when it shouldn't have come down to that. UMD, is at best when it is all said and done, a 5 or 6 team in the WCHA. This was a series sweep UND should of had. Now again we are talking about the second half surge. To me anything less than 4 wins in the next 6 games will not set up well for the second half or Pairwise. A split this weekend at worse and then get 3 out of 4 at home vs. UM and UNH.

IT WAS IN A SLING!! From Danny's quotes in the paper that he could not reach up for a high snap out of the shot gun, my guess is that it is a sprain or partial dislocation of his non-throwing shoulder. And because it was his non-throwing shoulder, he and the coaches decided to let him give it try after halftime.

While you seem charming, you still are missing the point. THE GAME WAS STILL IN DOUBT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SECOND HALF. It was 20-2 still, hence Chappell still being in the game. Since you want to compare apples to oranges, remember the UNO game in 2005? Using your logic we should have sat the starters in the 4th quarter. Could you imagine the backlash had we done that and had the same result? By the way, I followed in up with a 84. 1)...and very handsome. 2)This is where we disagree. If you were at the WSU game as I was, we obviously saw it differently. 3)Apple to oranges--yes. UNO is not WSU. But the scenerio, in its TOTALITY, that unfolded during the WSU should have dictated you try another option than Chappell in the second half and this is where we will disagree. 4)And that 84 was still 8 shot lower than your handicap
  9. I'm with you here. But after reading this rant, I would think you would have sided with me on the Chappell injury issue on the FB thread??

So now it's mop up duty? Can some one please tell me when mop up duty starts?? Having been at the WSU game, I think that should have been at the beginning of the second half. There seems to be obviously to camps in this disagreement. So be it. The bottom line is and was an unhealthy Chappell meant we had a slim chance to win vs. GVSU. But with Battle's performance, you think giving him the ball vs. GVSU was an option?? Whatever everyone's thoughts might be about the WSU game are, we went to GVSU vastly undermanned. If some feel ok with that after watching Chappell limp to the locker room at half vs. WSU and then watch him on crutches on the way to the locker room after that game, then we did what we needed to do to give ourselves a shot vs. GVSU. Bully for you on your -4 at KW. We like to say at Oxbow, "The sun shines on some poor dog's a** at some point!"--because more than likely you followed that up with a 93!!

Fine, so Lennon has a "logical" explanation, but then where was any preparedness as to how UND was going to run the ball against GVSU?? Chappell, Brady and Murray are all dinged up coming into the GVSU game. None of those 3 can go and we don't see Battle, who they felt comfortable giving the ball to 18 times vs WSU?? There seemed no game plan for what if...as far as a running game yesterday?? So if all of you want to question those who think playing Chappell was a bad idea in the 2nd half of the WSU game, where is your "logical" explanation as to why we looked like Winona trying to run the ball yesterday?? And I don't want to hear GVSU had a big lead and we had had to throw because we were only down 14 at half and the game wasn't under control by GVSU (as that logic was presented by some with UND up 20-2 at half vs. WSU). In playoff FB, especially outdoors this time of year, if you can't run or stop the run, your season is over and that's what happened.

I agree. The GVSU game was lost in the early 3rd quarter of the Winona game. Chappel LIMPS off at half vs. WSU (again already knowing Murray was hurt!) and that really gets dinged early in the 3rd quarter when he should have never have been out there and if Battle was the answer in the 2nd half vs. WSU, where was he yesterday??
  13. The way we played this weekend, I'll HOPE for a split.
  14. As a pre-season All-American, he hasn't played close to that level or to his last year's level. His turnover that got UMD the second goal to me was the play that killed us last night. Bad turnover leads to a bad goal.
  15. Just got home and was at both games. 1) JPL is not looking as solid as early on. He gave up a ton of rebounds this weekend. 2) Power play looks lost--although looked better last night. 3) Too many guys not producing up to their abilities--I'll single out Zajac, Miller for starters. 4) But the biggest thing and it has been mentioned before is inconsistancy. How about looking intersested on a Sat. night at home?? But on a positive, the Freshman class is more than solid. I thought one of UND's best players all weekend as Trupp. LaPointe and Marto are both better than advertised. IF we get out of Denver with no points next weekend, then I think UND will have a big hill to climb. A split and then at home vs. the Goofs. I could see 2 to 6 points over the next 4 games. Genoway looked to be in really bad shape going off the ice on Fri.

How do you not put a body on #4. He was up on the right side of the line and nobody touched him. He has killed us all game long.

Point taken, but it was, more than likely, the last time to see Dressler and Co., last playoff game at home for who knows how long. Our attendence last week was nothing short of embarrassing!

5300+ indoors on a non-holiday weekend is way worse.

Worst D I have seen UND put on the field in years. They had that TE stopped dead on 4th down and nobody, and were 4 guys there, wrapped up!!
