Supposedly his gf is going to MSUM this fall? He also follows MSUM on IG (both men’s and women’s teams). I’d love to land DuPont, but also think our d-corps would be elite again if we “just” land Carels from the big CHL D group. Only so much playing time and special teams spots to go around.

Yeah, I think every NCAA team will be able to get some good CHLers moving forward...there certainly are enough of them. I just meant that I don't see any CHL first rounders (or many 1st/2nd rounders in general) going there when there are so many other schools with better facilities and NIL opportunities. Unless there's a ton more Duluth/Superior/Hermantown/Proctor studs coming up the pipe that have dreamed of being a Bulldog forever.

Ran into Bryn's parents again tonight at dinner. They said that the team is (understandably) pretty pissed that they didn't perform up to their capabilities against UW. They also said that Bryn has a "few aces up his sleeve" for this offseason. Can't wait to see it.

I feel like next season might be UMDs last shot at a title in awhile. I think they are a team that won’t be able to keep up in the new world of NIL and CHL.

Plante wins the Hobey, and seems like signs are leaning toward him coming back for a JR year at UMD (as expected) to play with his two bros. UMD could be very good next season

Agreed. I think defense is looking pretty good with those four plus MacKenzie + CHL stud "TBD". Strathmann takes on a more offensive side (he's got it in him with his skill and skating)...Laurila was a huge surprise this year, he's poised to be a very very good NCAA dman...Verhoeff takes a jump...Emery is the shutdown guy with a pile of minutes.

Next season roster so far. You're writing off an entire new staff due to a single one-goal loss in the F4, a place where they finally led us back to after a break of 10 years. It was a tough loss after a really great season. No need to panic. Let's see how this offseason goes, because I think it will be even better than last offseason.

I’m sure he’d like to work on his finishing as well. He has great vision and a strong 200ft game. Getting double the goals he got this year would be fantastic.
