Yeah I think it mainly had something to do with their return flight being Jan 2nd regardless on if the team made the finals or not. I'm still assuming that both will play both games unless their travel gets delayed.

Strinden and James need 1-2 goals each for both Mercyhurst games now. Get Ollie about 25min of ice time. And hopefully 2-3 of the current injured players can make it back. Otherwise the team will have to do call-ups from the intramural teams.

That's good. Good for him, he certainly deserves it and hopefully he makes the final team.

Seems crazy to me that they couldn't just fly to Niagara after the Sat UNO game rather than miss both games? You know if some NHL players get released to play that they won't be at the full camp either.

Reschny, Verhoeff, and MacKenzie all named to Canada's prelim WJC roster. Now hopefully Canada will let our two boys play against Omaha this weekend.

UND swept UNO in Omaha last month, so hopefully UND can sweep them again in our barn. UND is #5 in the NPI...UNO is #31. Big questions for UND will be if Reschny & Verhoeff will be able to play both games or if Canada will want them right away for their WJC camp...and if any of the injured players will be able to make it back into the lineup. Would be great to get Rickwood and Zmolek back, especially if Reschny and Verhoeff are gone. Hard to believe that the first half is already almost done! Keep it rolling boys!

Just a snipe on that goal. Kid is looking like the top offensive dman in the WHL at this point, and there's quite a few studs in the mix. Can't wait to see him in the green-n-white next season.

Supposedly the official announcement is tomorrow. According to Wheeler, Verhoeff got an invite and so did potential recruit Carels. No mention of Reschny, but specific mention that Boisvert did not receive an invite. The Boisvert news is not surprising, but Reschny not getting invited would be just as silly as Zellers not getting an invite from US with both of their play as of late.

Well look at that. After this weekend, two FR forwards leading the way. Zellers leads the team in goals with 10. Reschny leads the team in points with 18.

UND had 8 penalties for 27min...SCSU 3 penalties for 6min. UND 1/1 on the PP...SCSU 1/6

I've been watching BU's box scores...he's been absolutely brutal on faceoffs all season. Not to mention just the one goal. Seems like OMac is injured for them now too, as he didn't play this weekend either.

Might have to find out what hospital room he's staying in so we know where to send them to.

When all is said and done, I think we should pray that Thoreson is ok after that nasty nasty butt-end that he got from Verhoeff. Kid could have been seriously injured...so thoughts and prayers to him for a speedy recovery. /s
