From what I would consider key players: Zmolek - 30 games Berg - 12 games Jamernik - 8 games (not as 'key' of a player now, but when he got injured he was our top scorer and now he hasn't scored since) Strathmann - 8 games Perron - 5 games MacDonald - 3 games Boisvert - 1 game Those players have 67 combined missed games...and counting unfortunately.

Maybe we could pick up WMU's trainer out of the portal this spring. He seems to be doing a better job.
-
On Brad's weekly podcast this week, they commented about this. They said that Western has had only 4 total games missed due to injury this season...compared to UND's 110 games missed. Certainly not an excuse for some of the losses this year, but I bet UND is near the top of the NCAA for games missed for injuries.

UND specializes in players with injuries, he’d fit right in.

Hopefully the boys will all be healed up before golf season. Injuries on this team are crazy.

I think MSU got the jewel from that Portland team...a dman with almost 80 pts in 54 games? Dang. And he's the only one of the Chyzowski / Zakreski / Jugnauth trio that has a + in +/-. Ha. Either way, Zakreski seems like a solid first WHL add, seems to have a decent scorers touch...hopefully that can translate to college puck a bit. I'm more interested to hear who @RhettRingers was teasing earlier...

I like the sound of that. Unless you mean Zakreski?

TJ got NCHC goalie of the week (back to back) and Sacha got rookie of the week. -
That's my guess as well.
-
+1 WMU was at another level when these two teams played at the REA.

-
Yep. Can't take that penalty there. Ha, same stat line as OMac too with 1g/4a.
-
WMU wins it in OT.
-
ASU and WMU going to OT tied at 3.
-
Dang, lots of penalties in that game. And Frattin with his 1st & 2nd goals of the season.
-
Wonder when UND's last 5pt game was? Gonna have to go back pretty far on that one I'd think. Hopefully that boosts his confidence for the rest of the season. I'm one that hopes he stays another year at UND...I think he could help the team for sure. Get a couple good playmakers like Swanson and OMac playing with a couple pure goal scorers like Boisvert and Zellers...could be fun.
-
It's a good thing our PK has looked better the past couple series, because we still like to take a couple dumb penalties each game. Hopefully the PK can be stronger at WMU next weekend then it was when WMU visited the Ralph. Woof.
-
Agreed on both points. And also happy to see Pionk torched a couple times this weekend...most notably on OMac's goal tonight and Littler's last night.
-
Should be some good hockey!
-
I guess that CFB wasn't such a good idea. Man, what woke up the PP? I'm guessing just playing UMD. Ha. Four PPG. OMac with 4 assists? Dang.
