  1. Slim pickings here for remaining decent portal forwards/centers. Zacher is the highest goal scorer remaining. Giampa the highest point totals. Werner is intriguing but unsure with him looking for his 3rd team in 3 years. Perdion had been mentioned earlier as a player we were looking at. Lemyre just wins natty's, plan & simple. Matteo Giampa, so, Canisius, 8-22—30 Walter Zacher, so, Robert Morris, 15-9—24 Evan Werner, so, Michigan, 11-11—22 Austin Brimmer, jr, Long Island, 9-12—21 J.R. Perdion, fr, Long Island, 4-14—18 Tristan Lemyre, jr, Western Michigan, 6-8—14 Raimonds Vitolins, jr, Miami, 4-10—14 Mikey DeAngelo, fr, Michigan State, 3-6—9 Ryan Duguay, fr, Northern Michigan, 6-2—8 Alex Zetterberg, fr, Boston University, 5-3—8 Matthew Romer, so, Northern Michigan, 5-3—8
  2. This is a humorous scouting report on recent Michigan commit Mews from the OHL. As a dman, his defensive skills appear to be his weakness.
  3. Guess it was the recruits that just de-committed. Big 10 school paying $80-90k per year. That's crazy for those level of players. I mean, they are good, for sure. But if Boisvert is getting $150k and those USHL commits are getting $80-90k to go B10 instead of MSUM? Here's the blurb from the podcast:
  4. I heard $150k. If that's correct...and if that's the only reason that Boisvert left...I honestly can't believe that UND, its alum base, and the NIL collective couldn't match that. Or at least entice him with a good offer to stay.
  5. Not sure if this was one of their recent de-committed recruits or a player on their roster this year:
  6. There’s not a ton of high end talent remaining in the portal, especially not line 1/line 2 centers that we need. Unless some more players enter, I’m not sure who else they’d want to nab from the current portal crop.
  7. With it being so quiet other than Menghini and Homer, it is looking like the bulk of our remaining additions will be coming from the CHL. So hopefully we start hearing some more info as those player's seasons come to a close.
  8. Kid is a stud. Can't wait to see him suit up at UND this fall.
  9. Yes, it helps that he is a center (if UND is looking at him, at least). I would guess that he was told there isn't room for him at WMU next year...they have such a huge backlog of recruits, I'm guessing they need to bring in a few plus the portals they already picked up plus I'd think they'd also want some CHL guys.
  10. Haha, going for his 3rd team in 3 years...he has two title rings in the last two years.
  11. Komzak enters portal, which probably makes sense for both him and the team. Need 5 forwards and 1-2 Dmen...does Lindberg come in or do we pick up a portal/CHL commit(s)? Forwards (10): SR - Strinden, James JR - Menghini SO - Swanson, Littler, Croal, Andrew FR - Zellers, Klee, Zakreski Defense (7): SR - JR - Zmolek, Livanavage, Wiebe SO - Emery, Strathmann, Jubenvill FR - Laurila Goalies (3): SR - JR - Hedquist, Homer SO - FR - Huson (RS) Other current committed recruits that could come in this fall: G - Heil, D - Lindberg, F - O'Neill, Schultz, Simpson
  12. Do you wear your UND gear to the games...and if so, has he seen you wearing it? Would be cool for him to see before he even gets to UND that our fanbase will support him any and everywhere. And thanks for the write-up!

  14. More rumors of McKenna going to UM. C'mon Bryn, get this kid to UND. https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/news/top-nhl-prospect-expected-join-165711708.html
  15. I've heard Carle rumors, but I'd think Fersch sticks around for the new arena. He was very involved in the design process.
  16. That's good, Vegas has been signing everyone it seems. Signing Connelly from Providence after he scored 4 goals as a FR was perplexing.
  17. WMU will still be very good. The biggest factor will be Bump IMO. He was their hard-working superstar and their entire offense flowed thru him. They don't have someone to fill that void. Similar to us last year when we lost Blake. Our whole offense went thru him.
  18. For sure agreed. He’ll do just fine at BU until they meet a team in the NCAAs that plays physical.
  19. I’ve only seen speculation, nothing official.
  20. Looks like it would have been Feb 1 at SCSU: https://www.collegehockeynews.com/players/career/Owen-McLaughlin/56318
  21. As in, Jackson told them not to come in? With Bumgarner, I could definitely see that being the case.
  22. They knew he was leaving just like they did with Perron.
  23. Plus, it's not just a hockey rink. It's the basketball, hockey, and some other sport plus a sports complex for their university. Multi-use, not just hockey.
  24. Intro to new forward addition Menghini:
