We’re assuming Ollie, unless Bryn pulls a fast one?
-
Especially this upcoming year. There’s gonna be some games with a ton of high skill players playing against each other. Should be entertaining.
-
Young, Andrew, TBD Not that I don’t think that they’ll play at all. We have a lot of younger forwards so Young could be a good boost to a lower line to add some experience while the frosh get up to NCAA speed.
-
+1 Young arriving as a SR allows guys like Simpson, Schultz, and O'Neill to gain another year of experience in juniors and come in next year more ready to contribute. I like that move for this year's team.

C'mon Chyz, bag a great one!

100% agreed. UMN has landed a few nice recruits the last week or so, but they'd all be in that 3.5-4.5 star group. From what I hear, they'll likely land a few more shortly. But not a single one of those recruits would I take above the list of players that you show above. Which is why I chuckle a little when I see these tweets from Goofer fans:

Nice game from Grubb...get that local kid signed up!

Nice, good for Karl. He should do well for them!

Reschny seemed to impress during his stint at WJSS:

100% I still remember his diving back check to break up a Manitoba breakaway in his FR season exhibition game. Kid was a 200ft player from the first drop of the puck. -
Just Bryn following him. Hmm. I guess Pridham then? Pridham would add skill but would still leave us with a 1st line hole…as I’m not sure he would be ready for that role yet either.
-
Going social media sleuthing, does Bryn follow McQueen or vice versa? I know it's been mentioned here earlier that Bryn and Desnoyers both follow each other. Not that social media is some big revealing source, but them following each other must indicate some interest by both parties at some level.

Final day of WJSS. USA vs Canada today. Heil gets the start in net. Swanson 2nd line USA, Reschny 1st line Canada. Zellers and Emery both sitting.
-
Providence seems like an odd choice. But who knows. Connelly left after one season of lackluster performance there.

His CHL team made him captain for next year to try to lure him back but he hasn’t announced if he’s going back for sure or going NCAA.

2025-26 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

And that’s why we all keep saying that we need one more high skill forward. Someone to slot into that top line wing spot. A guy like Desnoyers or McQueen would make a huge huge difference. This team is still a tourney team regardless IMO. But adding another skilled wing could make them truly dangerous. -
Started one game (only US win) and came in later during another game. His stats were a tad bit better than the other goalies. US Goalies: Patrick Quinlan - 6.43gaa, .842, 0-1 Kam Hendrickson - 6.21gaa, .818, 0-2 Nick Kemp - 4.83gaa, .848, 0-1 Jack Parsons - 3.45gaa, .904, 0-1 Caleb Heil - 0.97gaa, .971, 1-0

Some thoughts from Canada's Hlinka training camp on a couple commits and possible recruits: https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/news/top-10-standouts-from-canadas-2025-hlinka-gretzky-cup-training-camp

Finland goalie gives Zellers all sorts of space far side and he snipes it home. Swanson and Emery both with assists on USA's 1st goal earlier.

Well now you tell us. Cmon Bryn, work your magic on DuPont:

James-Reschny-Menghini Swanson-Rickwood-Zellers Strinden-Littler-Zakreski Croal-Kernan-Klee Ex - Young, Andrew The lower lines are a bit tougher with all the freshmen...I'm guessing they'll want to avoid an all-frosh line for the first half of the season at least. -
Other than Scantlebury, not much action for the big boys/big gets so far. Not nearly as fun as I was hoping today would be.
-
I wish I did. More just impatiently waiting for Bryn to nail down some more players. This team looks really solid on paper...one more good top 6 forward could really elevate them. Not many options left for that now though.
-
Another solid winger would be great to lineup alongside him.
