Maybe if neither team can fill a full roster after this season, we just agree beforehand to play 4x4 with shortened rink dimensions?
-
Oh for sure. He's a guy that UND could have built the entire offense around.

Jackson is making the hard decisions. That's a positive from today's debacle.

I think this team can still compete --and win-- in the NCHC and nationally. They just need a team that can buy into the team and play together as a cohesive unit. This past years UND team certainly lacked both of those. Look at a team like WMU. They had Bump and Hampton essentially as "studs". PSU? Other than Fink, I can't name a single player on Penn State's team. Yet both those teams made the F4 this year. These schools that load up on first round players are fun to watch for sure, but none of them have won a title in the last decade +. I'm sure Boisvert will have a fine season in Boston next year, but odds are that he won't win a title there and then he'll sign next year at this time. Jackson has some work cut out for him this offseason, for sure. But I'm still interested to see the product that he puts on the ice next fall...if they can play better under him than they did for Berry the last few years.

That press conference just got a bit more interesting too with the announcements made today.

2025-26 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

We might need a few more forwards for next year. Bear would be a great first piece. Forwards (2): SR - Strinden, James JR - SO - FR - Defense (2): SR - JR - Zmolek, Livanavage SO - FR - Goalies (0): SR - JR - SO - FR - Players with eligibility remaining: F - Swanson, Littler, Croal, Andrew D - Wiebe, Jubenvill, Strathmann, Emery, Komzak G - Hedquist, Huson Recruits that need confirmation: Zellers, Klee, Zakreski, Laurila -
Boisvert is the only one among those three that stings. Perron and OMac could have helped the team for next year, but if they both had one foot out the door months ago...then we're better off without them. I'm hoping the Boisvert news gets offset with a Bear announcement soon. A local(ish) Winnipeg kid that wouldn't be so likely to jump ship due to an Eastern school floating money in his nose. That said...UND needs to get a handle on this NIL situation. And fast. Losing a player like Boisvert simply because we couldn't pony up the change to keep him shouldn't happen.

My guess is that it wasn't announced to the locker room...just that other players had suspicions. Dang. That's being blunt.

Yeah I remember that. I would imagine that Waldron would have been invited back. He was one of their better players IMO. But he’s in the portal so who knows.

2 NCHC teams in the tourney. Both make it to the F4.

Who knows at this point. Hopefully UND can match if that is all that would be needed to retain them. -
Tale as old as time. 4 seed gets the home regional and wins.

If these NIL numbers being thrown around for Boisvert and Perron are even close to accurate...how is that UND can't raise that with relative ease? $50-150k or so? Seems crazy that this couldn't be raised in a matter of days from all the UND alum and supporters if they raised awareness about it. -
More Sudden Victory hockey!

Berry still bleeds green, if we're to believe what has been told. -

Aren't those the three FR players involved in that incident last night? Doh. And Cade Littler liked it as well.
