  1. I had to go back and look as I was curious too. 2016/17 was the last time UND swept BSU outright, and even those were both 1 goal games. Last year loss/tie, year before win/ot win, year before tie/win, year before win/ot loss, win/ot win, loss/tie, win/tie. Didn't realize it had been that long. Hate playing BSU.
  2. I don't mind where we're ranked during the season...but if we start the next season #1, that's usually a good sign.
  3. Updated Commit Stats as of Nov 2: Pilgrim continues to pick up points each game after starting a bit slow. Really slow start for BSchultz, especially for a kid potentially coming to UND next season. MacKenzie crushing it...0-8-8 line in his last 5 games. Really liking this pickup for UND. Heil's numbers creeping up a bit (not in a good way) after a really solid start for him. Forwards B. Schultz (USHL Waterloo) - '05: 12gp - 1g/3a Pilgrim (USHL Tri-City) - '06: 16gp - 5g/8a A. 4. Love this overhead angle on Zellers PPG.
  5. Sounds like Ollie's line was matched up against them as much as possible. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-freshman-ollie-josephson-scores-first-goal-stands-out-in-ot-loss-to-bulldogs
  6. UND hits the road to Nebraska after taking 4 of 6 from Duluth. UNO just completed a weekend sweep of CC in the Springs despite getting heavily outshot in the series. They even started their backup goalie, Cowan, in the Sat game. Four of their top five scorers are their USports/CHL guys, led by Pellerin. So far this season, they've split with Mankato (home), split with UMass (home), and swept CC (away). From what I watched of their CC series, they didn't seem flashy or super skilled...but they took advantage of their chances, were hard skating, and managed to score a few odd bounce goals. PP: UND 23.5% / UNO 27.3% PK: UND 81.3% / UNO 72.0%
  7. Same with SCSU and UMD. Beat them 5x5 and hope to contain them during their PP chances.
  8. I have a feeling that there are gonna be a lot of splits this year in the NCHC. Not sure if any team looks noticeably "weaker" than the others. That single point that we got last night forcing OT might loom large as the season progresses.
  9. Just not next weekend hopefully.
  10. I imagine Detroit will try to sign Max this offseason, but the allure of playing with both of his bros will keep him at UMD. That line would be crazy good. But UMD will remain a one line team once again. Shut down the Plante's, win the game.
  11. Maybe a couple blind passes into the slot for each of them. To be fair, Perron has had a nice start for Michigan with 10pts in 10 games. Of course, Michigan has only played one team all season with a record better than .500, so we'll see.
  12. Backup goalie in for UNO? Or just rotating?
  13. BU gets swept by Maine, now at 3-5-1 on the season. <cue Seinfeld voice> That's a shame. Boisvert with no points and 2-9 in the dot. OMac slightly better with no points but 4-5 in the dot. Shucks.
  14. Him and Zakreski along with James are a great group of PKer forwards. Bummed that Zak will be out for a bit.
  15. Verhoeff now leads the team in goals. Strinden now leads the team in points after his 4a night tonight. And...much smaller sample size...but Spunar's stats are a wee bit better than Homer's. Need to give Jan the nod next Friday against UNO to see if he can put together two strong games in a row.
  16. 5-1 38-20 71-32 Domination tonight.
  17. Maybe because they "won" the series, 4pts to 2? Not sure.
  18. Yes please. What a great response game from the team.
  19. We need that 4th line with Klee to get a point so that all four lines get points tonight.
  20. Odd that we haven't seen gfhockey in here tonight posting about Sandy's coaching superiority?
  21. And UMD's lack of depth outside of that top line. Haha!
  22. Sure turned it around nicely after allowing a goal on the first SOG again.
