  1. What are those people going to do with all their free time now? I'm sure they will find another "battle" to fight for someone.
  2. I still can't believe that these polls keep putting BU so high. BU will be lucky to finish top 5 in Hockey East, let alone in the nation. With how much firepower they lose, even BU fans are expecting a big downturn for next season.
  3. Cichy wins MVP, USHL title http://www.areavoices.com/undhockey/?blog=51010 Can't wait to see him in Green next season!
  4. Good luck to Ryan!!
  5. I would guess that he will get drafted high in the CHL import draft and then go that route. I haven't seen/heard any rumblings of him going the NCAA route.
  6. For now, White is listed as a 10/11 recruit, so he could also be delayed if need be.
  7. Agreed. Why waste the time of going someplace else just so that you can sit there for a season and then only have one year left of eligibility?
  8. For forwards, this is how Brad has it for committed recruits on his blog: Danny Kristo, F, 09 Mike Cichy, F, 09 Brett Bruneteau, F, 09 Mike Fink, F, 09/10 Danny Mattson, F, 09/10 Corban Knight, F, 09/10 Carter Rowney, F, 10 Derek Rodwell, F, 10 Matt White, F, 10/11 Michael Parks, F, 10/11 Brendan O'Donnell, F, 10/11 If we have a logjam for the 2010 season, then White, Parks, and O'Donnell could all wait until 2011 to come in. To replace the five departing forwards this year, you have Kristo, Cichy, Bruneteau, possibly Forney, and then one of Fink/Knight/Mattson. Two of those guys if Forney doesn't come back. The following year with VV and Zajac leaving, you bring in whoever didn't come in from the Fink/Knight/Mattson group and then Rowney. Maybe push Rodwell back a year? Or in case of an early departure. I guess it all depends on what Forney does. If he comes back, I would guess that Knight is the other forward. If Forney doesn't return, then Knight and Mattson come in (Fink waits until '10). Definitely a lot of forwards. That's still 12 less than what UW has on their potential roster though.
  9. They do certainly have a thing for Fairchild don't they? Them putting BU at #3 and SCSU at #10 is quite humorous.

  12. From the Sioux blog:
  13. He's still upset about the BMT great debate.
  14. I dig the black Nike Swift jerseys, but I don't think that I would want all three jersey colors in the Swift style. It's cool just to have them in reserve, for those "special" games that Hak likes to save them for.
  15. Dude, we won the MacNaughton!
  16. Denver will be the pre-season favorite to win the WCHA. The Bozak loss is huge, but if they keep Rahkshani, Ruegsegger, Wiercioch, and Colborne, they'll be very good. I still think the Sioux can take them ( ), but DU will be contending for both WCHA trophies at the end of the season once again.
  17. Denver: Still loaded. http://blogs.denverpost.com/sports/2009/04...and-wear-the-c/
  18. I don't know, I thought VV skated around UNH dmen pretty nicely for his two goals in the UNH NCAA game.
  19. Forney has two years of eligibilty remaining if he plays at UND. Only one year if he goes elsewhere. Wow, that's hoping for alot. I don't think Forney would be a waste of a roster spot if he ended up on the 3rd/4th line. Heck, he could take Kozek's spot on the 4th line and add some offensive balance.
  20. I didn't read it that way at all. Sure, the Oilers told him that he should come back, but who's to say that he wouldn't have wanted to come back regardless of what the Oilers told him? It's a big decision for a young man, and he is taking into account what he, his parents, the Oilers, the UND coaching staff, and his advisor have to say on the matter.
  21. From Brad's blog:
  22. Whooo, that would be excellent!
