I think most of our fans are pretty optimistic about next season. A good core group coming back and some studs coming in. But depending on what DU returns, they will also be good and could make a run. I think that's just what people are saying. Not like it's a sure thing DU goes back to back or anything.

One returning dman that played regularly and no goalie with significant playing time usually doesn't make for a great season. Let's see some DU players opt for the pros too.

Only one series against UMD should lessen our chances for a long term injury to one of our top players. I like our chances more and more for next season!

I don't think it will matter for UMD next season. Other than Johnson, Anderson, and Tufte, they don't have much left on the cupboard. Unless they have 3-4 studs coming in to replace the dive team departing!

Congrats to DU. I'm glad UMD didn't bring home the hardware. I see they stuck true to their game plan all season, injure an opposing player and take the other team off their game. It almost worked for them once again.

I don't remember seeing those teams beat #1 DU and then outshoot and outchance BU 294-12 though.

I think this team could be a very good team next year. As you said, no All-American candidates, but just a very deep roster of forwards, a much more experienced group of dmen, and a senior goalie. I think they'll surprise some people. And I don't see the d-corps having quite the rough stretch at the beginning like this year. What a progression for C Poolman, Peski, and Johnson from season start to finish. Very good incoming forwards should make lineup choices hard for Berry. My votes for offensive explosion: JJ, Bowen, Gardner

Looks like Lauren Hennessey was the recruit that came to UND today: She had already announced her commitment to UND on March 12th...goalie recruit.
