  1. I don't dislike any Sioux fan, whether they be a Hak Hater or a Blais Hater or a (slightly harder to find) Rube Bjorkman Hater. And I've got nothing but love for Blais. He is, as you said, a legend at UND (much like his predecessor).
  2. I bet Schmaltz plays this weekend. Then the rest can just sort itself out.
  3. It's similar to the Hakstol-haters, I would guess. Most of them just pine for Blais to return, thinking that he would right the ship instantly and bring UND 4 national titles in the next 6 years. It's just not realistic. Much like the Fire Hakstol thread getting started after the first loss of the season. I see all the "cheap shots" as just some posters making fun of the "Bring Dean Back" posters.
  4. His comment makes no sense at all. They scored 4 goals, it's not like they blasted Duluth for 11 goals like Vermont did to Massachusetts on Saturday night. It's not a question of if they'll score on Zane, I'm sure they will...but his comment was humorous. And he loses all credibility anyway with that statement. Especially because of this: http://www.collegehockeystats.net/1415/boxes/mnabuno1.o06 Kenny Cameron from Northern Alberta would disagree with you, Ortega.
  5. Who said Hakstol doesn't show emotion?
  6. Saturday night thread starter letdown. Simple statement. Poolman at forward. Didn't expect to see that. Good to see Mac back at center. We need him to win some draws.
  7. Eichel with only 2 assists. Weak.
  8. Did you guys know that the line was going to be used in the movie (permission from the Spiewak family), or was it just a nice little surprise?
  9. Everyone loves playing hockey in a dry heat.
  10. Tucson? Geez, I can think of a ton of reasons why I wouldn't want to live in that ghetto crap-hole of a city.
  11. http://www.houseofsparky.com/2014/11/18/7240213/asu-hockey-sun-devils-ncaa-division-i-ray-anderson-greg-powers-acha-title-ix-arizona-state
  12. I'd be fine with ASU joining the NCHC, even if it was temporary. It's going to take many years (decade?) before there would be enough PAC12 teams to start a D1 hockey program. You need plenty of infrastructure + millions in donations to make the jump to D1...and that's assuming that they already have a hockey program to begin with.
  13. I'm ALL for this. Simply because that would make an easy 30min drive to see the Sioux in person when they visit ASU.
  14. Why decommit and then still take a visit? That's weird. If you don't like the place after your visit, then maybe decommit (if that's your thing).
  15. That all changes next weekend with the much-hyped #1 vs #2 in the PWR matchup between Mankato and Tech! I'm sure a few TV stations will be trying hard to get that matchup televised.
  16. I actually thought that Murphy had 2-3 excellent scoring chances. He just needs to capitalize on a few of those if he wants to be put in the lineup consistently.
  17. Impressive run that Tech is on! I could see their first loss coming next weekend against Mankato or 2 weekends later against Duluth. I wouldn't be surprised to see MTU #1 in the polls this week with UND #2.
  18. We can sure hope so!
  19. I think that is just what "dynasty" programs do.
  20. That's what my 1yr old says. Just yell for your mom and she'll get right on that.
  21. Really? Yeah, I'm sure the coaches and captains are all just sitting around picking their noses before the games. These guys have played a boatload of games in their careers, it's not like they need a Herb Brooks MOI speech prior to every game in order to "get up" for it. Miami simply executed better in the early part of the game. Enrico must have told them to stop picking their noses sooner than Hak did tonight.
  22. BSU outshot them 36-22 but came up short.
  23. Excellent win for Duluth and the NCHC.
