  1. I think they have Notre Dame and Michigan too high. Not to take anything away from Notre Dame's great run to the title game this past year, but I don't see them doing that again next year. They are a hard-working team, but there are more talented teams out there. And if the talented teams work hard as well, they should beat them (like BC showed). Michigan is a really young team with some great up-and-coming players, but they are losing 120 points from their two senior leaders in Porter and Kolarik. That's a lot of points to make up. Not to mention that Sauer has proven to be a bit like Lammy and JPar...save his worst game of the season for the NCAA playoffs. I could see a few of their freshmen from this year experiencing some sophomore slumps next year without Porter and Kolarik's 63 goals.
  2. I wonder when the UAA away series is. That is one roadtrip that I would love to make.
  3. Davidson departs and Oshie stays?
  4. We can hope that Hakstol was right when he said that he thought only 1-3 players would leave early.

  6. Since last year it was just the series in Madison, this year there should be a UND/UW series in both GF and Madison.
  7. I think the opponent is pretty random. In 2001, we played UMN at home in the HoF game (also the grand opening of the Ralph). In 2003, we played UMD at home in the HoF game. This past year we played MSU at home in the HoF game.

  9. I would guess that the Sioux will play their exhibition against Manitoba, and then their first "real" game would be the Ice Breaker in Boston. Unless they are still having an opponent come to the Ralph for the HoF game prior to the Ice Breaker.
  10. Regardless of what teams made the tourney, a F4 in Chicago would have better attendance than a F4 in Tampa.
  11. I am guessing that Martens will improve on his 1-9-10 line from this year in 08/09.
  12. I like how you just kept that Johnson/Hrkac/Joyce line together. Why mess with perfection?
  13. As BC just showed us tonight, you can win the National Title with a freshman goalie. Go Sioux in 2009, and let's hope that Eidsness is as good as advertised.
  14. Dean, you should sign your name to those posts instead of being a wuss and being "anonymous".
  15. I'll be leaving in about 4 hours from Madison! Looking forward to it. Go Sioux!
  16. October usually.
  17. That is an awesome story.
  18. This article certainly sounds promising! http://www.grandforksherald.com/articles/i...;section=sports
  19. I can get you in contact with a lady that will give you $10k for it.
  20. Justin Abdelkader, a jr forward from MSU, signed with the Red Wings: http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/20...r_to_amate.html
  21. If he's already practicing, I would be surprised if he didn't play against BC. The official word will be the lineup card.
  22. Yes, that was after the 05/06 season that we lost 5 players to early departures.
  23. I smell a Hobey Baker trophy as well. For Porter.
  24. Not by me. Or Hakstol, as he did that for the 3rd period on Sun. I really like these lines that were posted earlier: Oshie with Duncs and Kozek Kaip with Frattin and Watkins Vande with Trupp and Martens Zajac with Radke and Malone Keep Kozek with the top line. He brings a significant 3rd scoring threat to that line. I really like Kaip's line with two speedsters in Frattin and Watkins. This line could match up and keep up with the Gerbe line from BC, and Kaip and Watkins are both great defensive forwards as well. VV and Trupp together could create some chances, and Martens has proven to be a good passer and stickhandler. The fourth line could go out there to bog down and grind the opposition. Radke looks good on this line for that reason. Hakstol could sub with Miller if he wants to add some speed to the line and possibly match it up with a different BC line.
  25. Yep, VV was moved to the 3rd line at the start of the 3rd when Hakstol put Kozek with Osh/Dunc and moved Frattin with Kaip/Watkins. Then he rolled 3 lines.
