  1. Agreed. Littler too. He ended the season strongly.
  2. If he comes back for another year as has been rumored, I think he'll be the first return Hobey winner since Duncan, correct?
  3. Meh. He didn't put up many points, but he was by far the youngest player on the Force...probably one of the youngest in the entire USHL? Jax probably asked him if he was fully committed to UND and he couldn't answer, as he went to a different HS every single year. He would have been a college player that you wouldn't be surprised if he portals to 3-4 different schools in his NCAA career.
  4. For sure this fall: Zellers, Klee, Zakreski, Laurila Maybe this fall: Schultz, O'Neill, Lindberg, Heil, Simpson I guess not surprising with how he went thru high schools.
  5. I still think that Jax & Co have a couple high end CHL guys that will slot into some of those C/W openings.
  6. I guess we're not getting Gault, like was earlier mentioned. He's heading to NMU:
  7. On the flipside, Menghini could be a bigger loss for UMD than he expects...he led the team in +/- both his FR and SO seasons. He was their best 200ft forward that can also score goals. I think he'll fit in quite nicely at UND.
  8. Forwards (10): SR - Strinden, James JR - Menghini SO - Swanson, Littler, Croal, Andrew FR - Zellers, Klee, Zakreski Defense (8): SR - JR - Zmolek, Livanavage, Wiebe, Komzak SO - Emery, Strathmann, Jubenvill FR - Laurila Goalies (3): SR - JR - Hedquist, Homer SO - FR - Huson (RS) Other current committed recruits that could come in this fall: G - Heil, D - Lindberg, F - O'Neill, Schultz, Simpson
  9. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/forward-anthony-menghini-commits-to-und According to the article, he's been a huge UND fan his whole life and his grandparents still live in GF. Tons of pics of him in Sioux gear.
  10. Add Menghini! Great pickup.
  11. This game is completely different than the DU/WMU game. This is like pond hockey. Should be an interesting matchup on Saturday whoever wins this game tonight.
  12. WMU deserved to win that game with how they played for the first 45 minutes. Absolutely impossible to feel sorry for DU players with all the luck they’ve gotten in the tourney over the years. Go WMU against whoever they play.
  13. Brilliant. About time DU starts losing. And now Buium will head pro, as will Carle.
  14. Bump has had the game on his stick about 8 times but nothing.
  15. In every single NCAA tourney game he plays. Glad he’s gone after this year.
  16. Take out either TJ or Hobie for Hampton. Take out any senior forward other than Berg for Grant. Done.
  17. Why doesn’t it say Sudden Victory anymore?
  18. Coach of the year couldn’t get them to even play the full 60. It should have been 5-2 final. WMU didn’t capitalize on their chances when they controlled play for the entire first two periods.
  19. How many SH chances did DU give up that PP? Crazy. WMU looks more like the team we all saw during the season. They didn't look very sharp during the regionals but still made it thru.
  20. I just can’t see OMac fitting in with this WMU team. There’s too much physicality and hustle to their game. That’s not OMac’s game at all.
  21. That's interesting. I would have thought he'd ask him about his experience.
  22. Short blurb with Homer about why he chose UND. Listening to him, I get the feeling it may be like others have mentioned...that he may be at UND for one year (even though he has 2 years of eligibility left) and then sets up Heil to come in 26/27. So Homer/Hedquist/Huson this year and then Hedquist/Heil/Huson the following maybe?
  23. CHL playoffs don’t end until end of May/early June so some commitments might take awhile to come in.
  24. As I was saying. First line center will be McKenna.
