  1. NCHC.tv has the full comments from the Commissioner but not any of the coaches...I'm hoping they add those later as well.
  2. Dane and Liver spoke during NCHC Media day. Jake already rocking the sweet stache.
  3. Anyone up for a trip to Ireland in 2027 to watch their favorite hockey team? https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-hockey-to-play-in-belfast-northern-ireland-in-2027

  5. Sick goal from Simpson here from tonight's game. Great toe drag around the defender and then cuts it all the way across the crease.
  6. Verhoeff #2 and Reschny #7
  7. He's gonna be a fun one to watch next year at UND. A lot of nicely skilled forwards coming in...if guys like Reschny, Zellers stick around and get to play with guys like Simpson, Williams, McKamey, etc...going to be some loaded forward top lines.
  8. Not sure. Haven’t seen anything official on it so I’ll keep him on the list until I hear/see otherwise.
  9. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-hockey-notes-fighting-hawks-picked-third-in-nchc Who are these 5 media members that left Jake off their ballot? And...per requests on the bubble making a comeback:
  10. Updated Commit List as of Sept 17: Many junior leagues are starting play over the next few days. Great starts for Sanderson and Grubb! A Schultz and McKamey both injured already. Forwards B. Schultz (USHL Waterloo) - '05: 2gp - 0g/1a -- 12 PIM's in 2 games! Pilgrim (USHL Tri-City) - '06: 0gp - 0g/0a A. 11. Great to hear...hoping it translates to the games as well!
  12. I like it. Really hope that Swanson takes off this year. You know he has it in him with how he did in the USHL.
  13. For DU, losing Davis and Buium will be massive (not to mention Devine, Thompson, and King). WMU lost the best forward in the nation, their best center, and their best 200ft player in Bump, Costantini, and Washe. That said, I totally agree with what you are saying that WMU seems to always lose a ton and then random nobody forwards all of a sudden turn into scoring machines for them. That has to end at some point, right? We'll see if that happens this year or if they continue with that crazy streak. UND has their own question marks with Boisvert, Perron, OMac all gone...but I really think that they will only miss Boisvert from that trio. Plus, UND has a better incoming group (recruits + portal pickups) than WMU and DU imo. Should be an interesting season to follow!
  14. Article from CHN explaining all this pro player nonsense: https://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/2025/09/18_Pro-Players-in-College-Hockey.php Is Spicer still not eligible? Plus all these players over 21 won't have the full four years of eligibility remaining:
  15. Schultz injured now too. Not a good start to the season for him and McKamey. Hopefully they both heal up quickly.

  17. I think both WMU and DU take a step back this year. Still guessing that they’ll both be in the top 4, but I don’t see either being dominant like they could be at times last season.
  18. https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/article/mckenna-the-unanimous-no-1-in-tsns-pre-season-nhl-draft-ranking/ Verhoeff at #2 Plus a couple potential targets in Carels (#11) and Preston (#13).
  19. These pro players playing college is just crazy to me.
  20. James took a nice step (especially in his finishing) last year. Would love to see him take another step for his SR year and really help get that offense rolling.
