Hopefully we hear some good news tomorrow on if Perron and/or Boisvert might be available to play this weekend.

We just need that 1883 Collective to start giving some paydays to these boys to keep them in GF a bit longer. Keep some players like Boisvert, Perron, James, Swanson...and then add in Zellers next year? That's a good amount of potential offensive talent on the top 2 lines.

Yep agreed. I would hope if a coaching change isn't made and then a situation like Perron/Boisvert enter portal, that could potentially force a change? Maybe. Who knows with Chaves. The only way I see a no portal goalie next year is if Hobie stays and Heil comes in for a trio of Hedquist/Heil/Huson.

Stoney posted that he's heard good updates on Zmolek making a return...that would be massive for the top 6 dmen group. There's been rumblings about Perron transferring too. I'd love if James returns, but could see him getting pressure to sign as a 2nd round pick entering his SR season. Agreed on Hobie. I could see him staying if he's told that he'll get #1 goalie spot to start season...but could see him hitting portal if we bring in another portal goalie. I go back and forth on Boisvert. I'd guess there would be a good chance he'd sign after his SO season anyway, so could see him sticking around, otherwise he'd potentially be moving around to 3 spots in 3 years. If he portals out, that'd be a bad look for UND and hopefully would cause the coaching staff to take a long look in the mirror.

And Monty might still be injured. I'm guessing Komzak will be on 3rd pairing this weekend.

I’m ok with a few portal guys if they fit a need and we can get them for more than a year. Guys like Berg, Zmolek, etc. No more one year fill-in’s…I’d much rather a recruit in that scenario.

Remember a couple seasons ago when we lost our entire D-corps? I feel like next season will be like that but with forwards and goalies instead. Maybe not ALL of them, but the roster is gonna look way different next fall. For better or worse. Hopefully we can land a couple legit studs from CHL & portal as they’ll get a lot of playing time.

UND did a good job at limiting Buium this series. Especially after he got a hat trick in the series against UND in Grand Forks earlier this season.

Agreed. They need to get that 1883 Collective to get some funds rolling to get James to return for his SR year. Yep for sure. Especially with the game they played just one day prior. If they can play two strong games against UMD, then maybe we’re on something.

Yeah neither of those are easy tasks for this team. If they could manage to string together a few games, they could get close. That darn inconsistency.

Veinbergs got an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for pointing at the scoreboard, which gave Miami a 5x3 PP. Miami scored on that to cut it to 4-2 and then they scored 2 more in the next couple minutes to tie it.

A win is a win. Tell her that an OT win still means that the game was in hand.

That's too bad, would have been good for Miami to get their first NCHC win of the season after the CC player taunted them.
