  1. If Croal, Swanson, and Boisvert come in next season (that'd be my guess, minimum)...and Albrecht, Gaber, Jammer, Johannes, and Ness all depart, he'd still have had a much better chance at getting a good amount of playing time as a soph. Of course, Gaber, Jammer, and Ness could all use a 5th year if they wanted, but I'm guessing only 1-2 of them would if given the opportunity.
  2. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/freshman-michael-emerson-leaves-und-hockey-team I understand wanting more playing time, for sure. But to bail on your teammates at mid-season is pretty crappy, IMO.
  3. What the heck. Give it a year or two at least man.
  4. Geez yeah forgot about that stacked UM team.
  5. Craig Button's draft list has a couple UND recruits going in 1st round, along with a good number of other NCAA players and recruits: https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/craig-s-list-dominant-defencemen-set-to-take-over-2024-nhl-draft-1.2061018 Emery at #26 Boisvert at #30 Wonder if Celebrini, Levshunov, and Buium will stick around another year if/when they get drafted that high? If BU can get Celebrini to stick around one more year...they'd have the #1 and #2 (expected) draft picks with Celebrini and Eiserman. Has that happened to any team ever...whether NCAA or Major Junior? That's crazy.
  6. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/ludvig-persson-returns-to-practice-for-und Persson returned to practice today and participated in all reps and drills.
  7. Summary - Nice week from Swanson, he's taking off a bit after a 'slower' start than I was anticipating for him. An exciting duo with him and Boisvert...one looks to be an elite playmaker and the other an elite scorer. Jubenvill had a good run to start the season, but has slowed as of late. Strathmann quietly putting up good numbers. Heil continues to put up average numbers, but he is still very young in the league as a goalie. Monster weeks for Pilgrim and Zellers...hard to gauge with their competition, but great numbers regardless McInnis played his first couple games since moving to the AJHL, put up 2g/1a in 2 games. 8. Also, UND was CHN's team of the week this week: https://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/2024/01/09_Team-of-the-Week-North-Dakota.php
  9. Congrats to Gaber on getting NCHC's forward of the week!
  10. I wish we would have gotten a home split vs CC.
  11. UMN back up to #12 with the win. Thanks a lot CC!
  12. 2-1 UMN w/ 14min left in 2nd
  13. +1 agreed.
  14. CC and UMN tied at 1, halfway thru the 1st
  15. That angle of Jammer's deflection goal from Perron at the 20sec mark is sweet. Great goal!
  16. All aboard the Gaber train this weekend!
  17. UMN down to #14 and CC up to #17 in PWR after that game.
  18. Geez, at least we got to OT with them before losing.
  19. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-defenseman-garrett-pyke-comes-through-against-his-old-team Pyke now is on a 7-game point streak.
  20. Even if they did make the NCAA's this season, I think they'd get bounced right away. They seem to fall behind the majority of their games (even against subpar teams) before clawing back and either tying or winning in OT. I agree with you, I think it will be difficult for them to move up much at all...and if they happen to fall in any of those remaining games, it's gonna really hurt their PWR chances.
  21. Was hoping that UNO could pull that one out.
  22. Yes they are for sure in every game. They have only lost two games in regulation all season...and the last time was Nov 3 against BU.
  23. The new lines really started to gel there. Good to see. Getting Gaber onto his own line seemed to ignite him a bit. OMac with the best series of his career so far. James was all over the ice both games. He was one of our best forwards this series, IMO. Perron could have scored 3 goals on the same shift of his goal tonight. He's buckling down and he could be a force the rest of the season. Hedquist. Didn't realize he was starting until game day yesterday and he stepped up admirably. He'll only continue to get better, but he showed a great foundation for being a quality goalie for UND in the future. Can't complain with a 12 goal weekend and a sweep in the last OOC series of the season. Keep it rolling next weekend against UNO! I'll be flying in from AZ for the series with my son, so we're pretty excited!
  24. Another PP coming up for UAF
  25. All penalties over.
