No Tebow comments yet today?

I heard they only fill it one quarter full...just like how Tebow only plays one quarter.

USCollegeHockey rumors: Illinois considering hockey
Big A HG replied to Big A HG's topic in Men's Hockey
I know Illinois has been rumored in the past, but it was just speculation. Now, there is a potential donor involved and staff within the university are talking about it. It'll be interesting to see where this leads now. UAH isn't quite dead, but who knows what their future really holds. Penn State makes up for them. Bowling Green is hanging around, but for how long. We need someone to replace them. Any sort of net gain is a huge bonus, especially in today's economy. -
You don't have to put the same symbols in an ND version. Just the idea of putting subtle symbols in the logo was the idea.

Just saw on Twitter today that Jimmy John's founder is considering ponying up to get Illinois some D1 hockey. That would add another Big Ten to the mix. USCollegeHockey was adament about their initial claims of PSU adding hockey back when it was first announced. I think it'd be awesome if they could, even though it's a B1G school. This whole conference reallignment may be working itself out in a good way afterall. Penn State coming for sure Maybe Moorhead State Maybe Illinois USCollegeHockey is not claiming that Illinois WILL add hockey, rather that they MAY. Thoughts?

Some of the jerseys did go quite high today. I know of a couple of the buyers, but don't know them personally.

This is what coaches go through. They get too much credit for winning and too much credit for losing. Maybe Tim should be the head coach of the Broncos? Did Tim smooth talk Marion into fumbling? Did Tim tell Marion to go out of bounds? Did Tebow's encouragement make Nick Novak miss two FG's...or make Norv Turner call stupid plays in the red zone that prevented them from scoring TD's? Did Tim make sure Matt Cassel got hurt, right when the Chiefs were playing some of their better football this year? How about Nick Folk and his two missed FG's? I'm sure there's more than that too...the Broncos have been awfully lucky to even give Tebow a chance to come back at the end. Why can't he inspire the offense to do more in the first 3 and a half quarters? I give him credit for his comebacks, no doubt it's amazing, but why does it take so long?
-
I'm not mad at Tebow, I'm mad at every person in the national media crediting Tebow for everything when clearly the team surrounding him has stepped up huge. Tim is a good guy with a big heart. I just am not crediting him for things he doesn't participate in.

Which of the symbols are you referring to? And yes, the women's team will sport a new home white jersey in the coming weeks, made by Gemini just like their current jerseys. They will keep their current green jerseys and ditch the black jerseys for the remainder of the year.
-
The look is very subtle when actually on a jersey. The detail shows up drastically more in graphic form.
-
Tebow had a great game kicking. Tebow had a great strip of Marion Barber. Tim did a fantastic job holding all but two of Denver's opponents to 15 points or less. What a great player.

Troy Landry from Swamp People? Choot! Choot!

'Tis kinda quiet in here tonight.

Drinks should have been free for UNO all night. Let them get liquored up and see how well they play with a nice, cheap whiskey hangover tonight.
-
It's hard to comprehend around these parts, but UND has its share of idiot fans as well. The only thing I give him props for his actually doing something. Half the people at the Ralph you wouldn't know if they were reading the morning newspaper or at the best hockey facility in college hockey. Having 11,000 idiot, but loud, hockey fans would be collectively more entertaining than your average Sioux game is...from a crowd perspective.

Actually, there were only 12 teams in the tournament, not 16. Odds aren't the same. It's a little tougher to get in the tournament, but easier to win it all, even if you still have to play 4 games. I'm not trying to discredit Blais, I'm just trying to support Hakstol. What better option is out there that is a realistic candidate?
-
You also have to remember that Dean Blais has never won a title in the current NCAA playoff format. What about UNO's losses to: Colgate, UAF, UAA, and Alabama-Huntsville?
-
If Blais actually is better than Hak, what's UND supposed to do about it? Blais left UND, UND didn't fire him. Who's out there that will bring more success than Hakstol has? You can probably only count on one hand the number colleges that wouldn't want a Dave Hakstol as their coach. At some point, the players have to win the game, the coaches can only do so much.

Great vid, thanks for sharing.

I think it would be cool if we did something like what Canada Hockey did to their Maple Leaf...but we'd do the same to our "ND" logo.

I don't care about being a homer or not. That's not what I'm talking about. A home team play-by-play announcer should be at least a little bit of a homer. That's part of what made Mazocco and Woog so fun to listen to. Sweeney just stinks at play-by-play (as does LaPanta). And, you'd think WDAZ could throw a few bucks in to get the guy a new suit.
-
Yes, Anchorage is on the coast and the warm ocean water that flows north towards Alaska keep the coast warmer and prevents most of the extreme cold.
-
Sweeney is bad. LaPanta is bad. I said this before Woog and Mozocco were gone: When they leave, it will ruin Gophers hockey coverage. I actually miss those guys. Their homerism was epic, but they could put you on the edge of your seat. Hennessy is awesome on the radio as well at that. Every game seems like a playoff game with those guys.

Don't be jinxing us now.

Jonathan Toews just took over the league lead in goals with 17 (Kessel w/ 16 is 2nd). He had 2 goals and tacked on a huge assist. He is also tied for 2nd in the league in scoring (behind Kessel). Jonny decided to start scoring. He always had it in him, it just seemed like there were more important things on the ice at times.
