Bemidji is easier, but if we had the opportunity to play Wisconsin, it might give us a better shot at moving up in the PWR farther.

Kristo is gone unless he takes inspiration from what Frattin was able to achieve as a senior.

I tried contacting the place in charge of putting on names/numbers and asked what they look like...they told me they weren't allowed to tell me basically.

That huge reaching stick save by Eids late turned out to be a difference maker.

Well, even D3 hockey can be tough for an upstart program. Concordia isn't really in a hockey hotbed despite its northern roots, so that wasn't helping his cause either.

That was a rifle by Pattyn.

"Double Rainbow! What does it mean?!?!"

I took that [crappy] video, haha. The part where he was cupping his ears to the crowd was during a hellacious "F*** YOU DENVER!" chant that was pretty amusing. I hate Denver more than the Gophs. I'm surprised more people don't hate them as much. If they were a border team, yikes would that be a crazy rivalry.

Farce, I think you hit the nail on the head on most of your points. I have faith in Eids, but only so much until I see a bit more from him. His biggest difference this weekend, in my opinion, was his lateral movement. I think that's one thing that he always struggled at and he'd end up flailing out of position easy on many occasions, even as a full-time starter his first two seasons. His balance and movement was pretty sharp, which allowed him to stay in more plays than usual for him. If he can continue that, he's going to have a strong finish to his senior season and hopefully get some looks in a pro-league. It seems he has accepted his role behind Dell in a positive manner, which makes me really like having him on the team. Your third point is something that the team struggles with some games through many of the previous seasons. When the team is struggling a bit to move the puck, they just start throwing blind passes and rely on dump and chase a little too much. I know sometimes the opponent's defense can dictate how you play your game, but I thought they were a little too impatient with the puck which led to a lot of turnovers. The fifth point you made is something that needs to be addressed. It's a shame that a 10,000+ arena with the following the Sioux have can't find ways to stay in the game. It's easy to be a great crowd when things are going good on the ice, but on Saturday you could hear most of the players' chatter on the ice from my TV perspective, and every crowd shot during the game showed what appeared to be uninterested fans. Those who are able to attend the games need to help out on their end a bit to give the team a little more home-ice advantage.

Do people cheer at Sioux games anymore?

I did a little update to the Encyclopedia Page of the Sioux-Jersey.com website to make it easier to find what you are looking for if you are looking for a specific jersey. http://sioux-jersey.com/#/encyclopedia/4551922793 As always, there will be more on the way, so keep checking back.

It's our barn and are skill level should be better than Tech's across the board. No excuses this weekend.

Are you related to Wayne S?

Slowly but surely I am adding some new jersey pages...I added all but one from the 1932-50 seasons that I am aware of. If you know any others, let me know! http://sioux-jersey.com/#/encyclopedia/4551922793

Mario takes just about the same number of penalties as Mac and Blood. He gets a little too carried away with his style of play sometimes.

The conference tournaments will be a big deal as well for a team like the Sioux. It's nice to have a good regular season outlook. At worst, the Sioux can afford maybe two more losses, but one is going to be incredibly more helpful. Then, the Sioux will have a must-win first round series of the WCHA Tourney. They have to get back to the X. Also, there are only five (not six now that the CHA is gone) autobids now, which is helpful. WCHA, CCHA, Hockey East, ECAC, and Atlantic Hockey. At that point, you hope that teams that will already have received an at-large bid win their conference tourneys. If you get teams that wouldn't have made the NCAA with an at-large bid winning auto-bids, it eats up spots fast.

I wish I could give you more than just a +1 for that.

Zucker is hurtin', but moving a little. Trying to figure out how he hurt his neck/back.

Brian Lee might be the most underrated player in UND Hockey history.

My initial thought was the same, but the more I thought about it, the better it would be to get them on the ice sooner. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see them in Sioux jerseys for as long as possible, but who knows what kinds of distractions will follow with the jersey change. There may be none, there may be a lot. I think it's a safer bet to do it during the regular season so the story of it will be a lot deader if they happen to make the NCAA Tournament.

Personally, I could care less if any of our players play in the NHL. I just want them to win titles at UND. It's a little bit selfish, but that's what counts in my book. With that said, I think it's great when our guys go on to have great pro careers, and it's not as easy as it sounds to win a championship, so sometimes you have to settle for what you get. Am I disappointed we haven't won a Championship recently with some of our teams...of course. Is it nice to have as many teams with the chance at a title as we have, even if you don't win one...definitely.

I like the sounds of the Tambellini kid. Big, skilled forwards are hard to come by. Chyzyk has the Bieber Fever...scares me a bit.

If you're referring to the Nike dazzle on ebay that is at $285 (as I type this), it's a pretty good look at true market value. It's not being bid up more than what it's worth. I've had people ask me to sell mine for as much as $360 a piece before (turned them down). You have to remember, the jersey sold for over $200 when it was available, and now they are very hard to find and the name is going away.

Anyone ever buy a jersey from Vintage Hockey Classics?
Big A HG replied to JESUS,family, rutgers's topic in Men's Hockey
I haven't come across any. It depends on how authentic you want it. If you are OK with a replica style that matches logos and striping, but the material, fit, and construction of the jersey aren't that of the time period, then there are places that may create one for you, so long as it is OK to reproduce the logo seen on the crest (since the WHA is defunct, not sure if it would be an issue or not). The problems you run into then are minimums. Most places make you buy a certain amount to make it worth their while, so either absorbing the entire minimum quantity, or finding other buyers would be required. You'd have better luck talking with potential buyers in your area to see if you can get a handful of people to go in on the deal. If you can find someone willing to do a one-off version of it, be prepared to pay for it. Good luck.
