I'm not too confident about the Packers playing the Bears in Chicago. The Packers pass rush hasn't exactly been very good, which has allowed Newton and Brees too much time to pick apart a depleted secondary...hence the reason the Saints and Panthers both passed for over 400 so far. It's about the pass rush. Yes, Carimi is injured now, and the Bears o-line was already bad, but both the Saints and Panthers effectively countered the Packers rush. The Packers will get to Cutler a few times, but I think the Bears are going to come out blazing thanks to last year. The Packers offense was a bit sluggish against the Panthers as well. If they balance the attack with more running, I see more success for Green Bay. The Pack has always struggled against Chicago's Tampa-2 Zone defense, so if the run game is working good it will open up that passing more. That was something that was missing until the playoffs last year, so the Bears just sat back in coverage knowing Brandon Jackson couldn't do anything. Now with Starks running great and Grant back to boot, it will be a stiffer challenge. 27-23 Bears

Why is that so shocking? The Lions finished ahead of the Vikes last year without Stafford most of the time anyways. With him for a full season, and I'd be shocked if the Lions didn't finish ahead of the Queens.

I think it's exactly that with Chay. When you are undrafted, you jump on what you get because you may not get another offer like that. If you decide to wait, that team that initially offered may use that roster spot for someone else. Also, Minnesota is still in [relatively] close proximity. Very few guys go undrafted that know they will ultimately be wanted by a lot of teams once they are a free agent.

It's a bit early to tell, but I think UND and Miami will form a nice rivalry. I think the Redhawks see themselves as and up-and-coming version of us. They play a lot like we do and their coach Enrico Blasi and the university have strived to make them a perennial contender. I'm not so sure that our fanbase will see it as a rivalry team right away, but I think their tenacity that they will show when playing us will spark something between the teams that may grow bigger in the long-term.

I see the Saints as a 10-6 team and the Packers at an 11-5 team. Where that puts them in the playoffs, I'm not sure. I actually had the 11-5 prediction before today's game, and had predicted the Pack to lose, so I guess you could bump that up to 12-4, but that's a lot of wins. The Packers will lose a couple to some good teams, and a couple to some not so good teams...it just happens. The Packers didn't seem to have a sense of urgency or a lot of energy on defense. They got a bit complacent, and Brees almost made them pay. If Tramon Williams is out for a length of time, it will be tough for the Packers. I'm just glad this one is over and the Packers came out with a W.

Don't be so sure about that word.

What's a dickweed? This is the only thing I could find:

Go Pack Go or should I say, Geaux Pack Geaux?

#28 was Ryan's number yes, but he didn't play in a true "game". Yes, he played in an exhibition, but he techincally never "played" despite that because it wasn't an official game.

One last bump before I place the order. If you are interested let me know by Wednesday! Thanks siouxjersey@gmail.com

If Notre Dame is looking to form a new conference with eastern powers, and they succeed in doing so, the NCHC will have a big struggle with them to gain any national TV exposure. North Dakota is the biggest college hockey name in the NCHC, and Miami (OH) is the biggest national brand name in the NCHC (when you consider all sports). That'd be going up against some big time names in Notre Dame, BC, etc. One way it could work together is if a network decided to do an early eastern game with a later western game.

I'm still taking orders if you're interested. Let me know! siouxjersey@gmail.com

Does this mean we get Gregoire, Genoway, Frattin, etc. back?

Those Global Warming fools have been debunked a long time ago. Anyone who believes in their nonsense buys into it for reasons other than fact. Think about this. When "scientists" first started hypothesizing these global warming theories, they began to receive large government grants to continue their work. Because of these grants, more scientists jumped on board. Any scientist who doesn't, misses out on these large sums of money, hence the reason so many jumped on board. Luckily, there are enough researches with a conscience to debunk and discredit the fools who are after the almighty dollar. In the end, it's all about the benjamins. Look how much money some of these fools, like the "expert" Al Gore, have made? You can hardly blame some of them.

I agree with the above poster. Cepis was quite the actor, but when he wanted to bring it, he could. He brought quite the spark to a dead Gophers team while there.

I just received word from the company that because this jersey requires a special pattern to make the shoulder yokes work, that the pricing is actually going to be $15 higher than expected. For those who have already contacted me, you should be receiving an email shortly regarding the matter. I am not allowed to edit the original post, hence the reason I have to mention it in an additional post. New pricing: $240. Add 10% for XXL or XXXL. Because of the price bump, I will waive the PayPal fees and cover them myself. I still plan on going forth with the project and there is still plenty of time to get in on the project. I know the price is not the most economic, but like I've said before, I am not doing another one of these orders again. I apologize for the inconvenience. Thanks siouxjersey@gmail.com

I am pretty sure Colten St. Clair will wear Jason Gregoigre's #17. Colten just started a Twitter account, and his handle is @cstclair17. This is unofficial, but I'm pretty confident that he will wear #17.

I am putting together an order for a late 1940s custom home sweater...and when I say sweater, I mean it. These are 100% wool knit with felt numbering. The sizing, or cut, of the jersey is a tighter fit that matches the style worn for the time period. They are replicas only in the sense of that they are reproductions of a jersey worn over 60 years ago; they are, however, made to game standards, so in that regard, they are authentic. Double-shoulders and elbows are added for game durability. I am not offering these to you to sell for a profit. I just want to give anyone who might be interested an opportunity to get one because I doubt an order for these will ever take place again, not by me anyways. Here's how to get one: The jersey you are ordering is made just for you, they are not pre-made. You get to pick your size and any number you want (which is included in the cost). Because of the high quality and the fact that they are custom made almost entirely by hand, they are a bit more expensive than your average jersey, however, they will be uniquely rare. Price: $225 ....shipping is included in the Price. If you pay using PayPal, add $7 to cover fees (for a total of $232). Custom number of your choice is also included in price. Sizing: Medium (43-44); Large (47-48); XL (51-52). *****NOTE***** The sizing runs a bit bigger than you would expect based on the numbers. I know at least a couple of the previous buyers are going down one size. Payment: You can either PayPal me (if you PayPal, add $5 per jersey to cover some fees), send a check or money order, pay in person, etc. If you send anything in the mail, I am not responsible for anything lost or stolen, so PayPal is preferred. PLEASE EMAIL ME IF INTERESTED or IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION AT: siouxjersey@gmail.com Here is the style that is going to be ordered: Here is the previous jersey order that we did so you can get an idea of the quality and type of jersey you would be receiving. The jersey above will be made using the same materials as the one below. ***NOTE*** The color of the green in the pics below appears to be darker than it really is. It's a true kelly green color, not a dark green.

Tonight sometime I'm going to make a post that might interest you. Finalizing some details first.

This is straight from the Wild website: "With eight minutes left in the first half, former University of North Dakota captain Chay Genoway turned in the play of the day -- beating all five Team Green players on a nifty coast-to-coast play that was reminiscent of plays the former Sioux defenseman made at Ralph Engelstad Arena. He capped the break with a pretty wrap-around goal to make it 3-0 with 7:56 to play before the break. "We were talking on the bench about how much fun it was to get back out there," Genoway said of getting to play in more of a game atmosphere. "We're all competitive guys. Drills in the middle of summer can sometimes get tiring, especially when you don't have your legs. But when you're in a competitive setting, I don't think it really matters. That's what we're used to." " They have video of the goal as well here: http://video.wild.nhl.com/videocenter/console?catid=933&id=120927 It was pretty sick. I wonder if Chay would have tried to sign with the Jets/Thrashers had he known they were moving to Winnipeg. I'm not saying he should have waited, because when you are undrafted in his situation, you can't get too picky or wait around too long for offers necessarily.

There will be a public announcement when any merchandise becomes available. All the damaged products are with the insurance company at the moment.

Bill Plaschke on ESPN's Around the Horn scored the most points and got his 30 seconds of "Face Time" awarded every show, and spent it talking about UND and the nickname. It was cool, until he said we need to change the "racist nickname".

The women are getting new jerseys this year, or at least new home jerseys: http://sioux-jersey.com/#/blog/4552031202
