Is he on the ballot this year? If he is, any opinions?
-
It seems to me a lot of people are getting ahead of themselves. We could win the rest of our games. We could lose the rest of our games too. Being realistic, some of both scenarios is more probable. If we could be .500 team I would be thrilled. Even though we seem to be improving, winning the rest of our games just doesn't seem very likely.

So right now we have 11 verbal commits for next year. It seems like we usually might have 1 or 2 or maybe none. Can we read anything into it? Does it mean we are being more successful or are we just signing kids early or some of both. Any thoughts.

Watched the UNI/ SDSU game. Neither team looked very impressive. A lot of really bad decision making by both squads. A lot of mistakes were made. Neither team deserved to win.

I guess the national issue with students not coming to college football games affects everyone. They are snapping in Fargo because there were large areas of the student section at the Fargodome that were totally vacant. I guess winning doesn't solve that problem either.

Very revealing. NDSU fan base just can't get over UND. As they say, you just can't make this stuff up. This situation will definitely provide a lot of material for future humor. Hilarious.

Was over and read the Griz forum. It is fun to see both side of views from the same game. A lot of quite different opinions on the same play. I also noticed a lot of Bison fans follow UND on the Griz forum. Interesting.

Were coming.

Do we have recruits coming tomorrow?

Bubba indicated that we had lost players for the season because of injuries. He said we had no major injuries at MSU though. I know we lost Kyle Ruhe for the season. Who else have we lost for the season?
-
I think Montana is better than MSU(maybe a lot better). Being realistic, what are the chances we could stay within 20?
-
I think we have to keep realistic expectations. Just the fact that we gave Montana State a decent game is quite surprising. Some people say that winning is the only thing that matters. That is true. But from where we came from just being a lot more competitive is a major step in itself. That is a step that I didn't think was possible this early on with a new staff and a lot of new players. But it is way to early to know if we really have made some positive strides. We have to have that happen over a series of games to know for sure. Just the fact that some fans are talking about staying in a game against good FCS teams is an extremely good sign. This season is all about getting some respectability back.

I love it how bison fans are ripping the Big Sky Conference. They rave about how weak the Big Sky is. The funny part about that is ndsu had all they could do to beat Weber State couple weeks ago. Weber State's record is 0 and 5 and are the worst team in the Big Sky. Something in that logic doesn't seem to fit.

What happened with O'Toole?

The overall package for all our sports on Midco and Big Sky TV is much better than what KVLY offers. Our package offers local, regional, and national exposure for all the main sports. Bison dan always boxes himself into a corner. There is an an App to pick up Big Sky games on your phone too. The Big Sky conference is great.

The future is starting to look very exciting. It would appear we have quite a few pieces of the puzzle in place. Every one is looking for the "big" guys but I agree when future recruits look at what we having coming in, these "big" recruits might just sign on now. We have some young 4's and 5's in the program, but you can never have enough. We do need more. Fun times ahead.

If our offense could move the ball some this weekend, which would mean fewer possessions for Montana State, maybe we can stay within 30. Am I being optimistic?
-
I did notice that St. Cloud got shut out by Sioux Falls on Saturday. Did Mussman's offense this year at St. Cloud lose a lot of players from last years team at St. Cloud?
-
I am NOT saying we are going to beat NDSU. That would be a lot more than anyone could expect. I believe a lot of people think the game is going to be a total joke. It could be. But what I was trying to imply is, would it be more than hopeful that we could at least give them a repectable game? I think we will have a real sense of what the game could be like in a couple of weeks.
-
Let say UND continues to get better as the year goes on. Towards the end of the year we play Weber State at the Alerus. What if we keep getting better and the game with Weber State is at least competitive. Weber State gave NDSU all they could handle a couple of weeks ago. Whose to say that next year when we play NDSU that the game couldn't at least be competitive(even though we don't win). You never know. The big "if" is whether we can even give Weber State any kind of game this year.

Just curious. I have no opinion on any name yet, but what is the glaring negative on Sundogs? I am not saying I like it, but just wondering.

They are showing Thompson in the stats. What's up?

Last year Missouri State lost to Iowa by 14, beat SDSU by 14, beat So. Illinois by 10 at S. Illinois, lost by 7 to No. Iowa, and lost to NDSU by 2 scores. I know it is last year, but the vibe I get from those scores is we could be in trouble. I hope I am wrong. I said before , they will not be in the bottom half of the MVFC. It is their home opener in a newly renovated stadium. They will be fired up. We will need Mollberg to play better, we will need a running game, and for a change we might need to get a few breaks too. That sounds like a lot of if's.

They will start a thread after the game and then only if they win.
