I stay at the Canad Inn - it is worth the little more in price - park on Friday afternoon leave on Sunday - little to no driving required. Shuttles to REA for hockey games and you can walk to tailgating area for football games. My wife and kids love it because the kids have the water park in the facility and shopping is close by for my wife.

How has the Name Debacle affected alumni donations?
FSSD replied to BobIwabuchiFan's topic in UND Nickname
1) how did Douple or the Summit even "stick his nose into some else's business"? I reject that utterly false premise on its face. The Summit stated its position publicly so that the public would know what the hold up was. It was a fair position to take - the Summit would only accept UND once the issue had been resolved between UND and the Tribes one way or another. OK, I will bite on this one... 1) NDSU AD - stated that Summit League has a policy to not schedule UND because of the name. 2) Douple on the same day in the same city stated - SL does not have a policy against the scheduling of UND because of the name. 3) A couple of days later Douple provides some cover statement to bail NDSU out... some strange statement like member should be careful when scheduling UND.. never understood what that meant. 4) Douple states that UND will be considered once the name is "resolved". 5) In the spring of this year - a North Dakota State Official states during a radio interview that "resolved" in fact does mean "changed" and that UND needs to act quickly because other schools are being considered. 6) This leads to more lawsuits and hassles to get things done as fast as possible. So, how are they NOT in UND's business? Plus, it looks like the word of NDSU-AD and Summit League are not worth much!!! It certainly is not a good way to start a relationship.. Now, UND has done everything asked early and still nothing from the SL on anything... really!! I am shocked.. -
My thoughts: It was the special teams that made this a game. They kept the Sioux in the game in the first half with a block FG and provided the spark in the second half with the blocked punt. Tackling improved in the second half and they found some offensive flow.. By the way the Sioux had better learn to stop a running QB or that USD game might be a long one... overall execited about the game and the improvements. They are getting better.. Special Teams: B+ - Blocked FG - Blocked Punt - no large returns - Turnover on the kickoff did hurt - Clutch FG at the end by the Freshman... first kick from 40 with pressure - good sign.. - Strong Kickoff leg Defense: C Minus - Wow missed tackles in the first two or three drives - Pressure with blitz package.. but they lost containment for long QB runs.. Plus - Pick 6 for Hawk - huge.. - Nice 2nd half adjustments - No big pass plays Offense: C Plus - Landry has a target in Hardin - Offensive flow is getting better.. - I thought that Josh just ran hard not sure of yardage. But it is nice to see him back. Minus - Anderson dropped a couple - Offensive line needs to get more push up front... Landry was running for his life..

game over NIU 23 and UND 17 - good effort...
-
I disagree with the radio call - if Hardin is tackled clock stops because of the first down.. then spike the ball.. you have about 2 or 3 seconds.

Sioux on NIU 27 with .09 left in the 4th 23 - 17
