OFfensive line is starting to move people ... like I said earlier offense needs to do more that three and out or turn the ballover..

    Cal Poly vs UND

the D has done a good job with the first two options .. nice job by the defense - that was an ugly kick - might have been a partial block.. come on respond..

    Cal Poly vs UND

Good to see Mitch S playing he making a huge difference the Sioux need a 15 play drive to let the Defense regroup... PS - with Roger T. talking I am sure all the Bison fans are throwing stuff at the TV screens..

    Cal Poly vs UND

Second drive - wow, stupid error by the Sioux... take away a first down and now they have to punt.. defense has to hold for this is going to be a long game..

    Cal Poly vs UND

Yes, Sioux defense stops them with a sack on 3rd down.. nice defensive stand 38 yard FG.. they game up a big play but but held them. It looks like Poly is going to attack the edges... ie outline LB.. we will see how they hold up.. NOTE: Offense looked good on the first drive.. moving the ball well Drive number two for the Sioux

    Cal Poly vs UND

Well, I think this is the game thread - so, I will place my comments here..
  10. Schedule has Texas AM, Okaloma St, Colorado and Missouri I think that they will finish 6-7 and 3-5 in the Big 12 which might be good enough for 2nd place in the Big 12 North. I do believe a win is win... but Nebraska had 8 turnovers.... and still nearly won the game. Congrats to ISU.. but they were close to being 1-3. The ISU defense picked off three Nebraska passes and recovered five Husker fumbles to spur the Cyclones on their first conference road win since 2005. NU lost fumbles three times inside the ISU 5-yard line and twice at the goal line.

    UND vs SUU

Yes, three and out - it has been a while since I have heard that listening to the Sioux Defense...

    UND vs SUU

Need a response from the Offense -- or I might as well rake my leaves.

    Stony Brook

It sounds like Stony Brook likes to run the ball. So, it will be interesting to watch the line of scrimmage today. I think the Sioux win a tight game. UND 20 SB 17. Thank you to the Stony Brook for coming out to UND for the Potato Bowl. Not many fully funded programs is FCS will travel one way. UND needs to look into returning the favor.

    SIOUXtra

I sent an email to the Jump TV service asking for an explanation and I agree with you that the Jump TV service has been questionable at best. It is sad that I have to pay for this poor service, I guess it might be time for me to look into a dish. I just want to confirm anything that I can watch on Jump TV is also on the sat system for UND sports.

    SIOUXtra

Hey did anyone actually get the game on the pay for service - Jump TV. The only thing that I could get going was the audio. I hoped that I could view the game via the on demand service. But, I do not see the game as an option today. So, I think that I am out of luck as far as watching the game. Just checking to see if others had the same problems.. thanks

    UND vs NSU

It would be nice if they could turn the field position a bit and get a couple of first downs... what kind of play call was that??? and pass play deep in their out territory.... ahh. fumbled punt... Sioux ball...

  20. Thanks for the kind words, best of luck the rest of the year - Oh yeah, crush Iowa St - if you play them this year.
  21. I like the idea of UNO going Summit League/Great West. In reference to your comments about UNO. As with UND, they now have new management. I have been very impressed with Trev A. Let's see in less than 6 months on the job. He has moved his hockey program to WCHA for free, hired the third or fourth best college hockey coach in the US (a coach that was not looking to go to UNO NOTE: This included motivating alum to pay the salary.) Now, he has the school talking about Div I and has approval from UNL to do it. Many said UNO to Div I was not possible because of UNL. All this in 6 months. I don't think this is your dads UNO. You have to admit that UNO has a lot of upside. Omaha also has a strong history of hosting NCAA events. I can see Summit League mens and womens tournments and WCHA final 5 or 6 being hosting in Omaha. I see lots of opportunities for UNO. It will be interesting.
  22. I guess it comes down to MVC determining if they are basketball conference or an all sports conference. I think the days of stringing schools along are coming to a head. I am sure several schools will be asking those questions and acting accordingly. Reading the MVC recent actions as noted in my first post. I think that an all sport conference may have been the direction. But the changes in the economy may have changed that for the conference. The other thing to remember about this is the recent RPI changes for basketball. I believe those changes specifically addressed how MVC got 4 bids to the NCAA a couple of years ago. So, it will be much more difficult for MVC or any mid major conference to get multiple bids in the future.
  23. Your statements seems a bit odd to me given a couple of points. 1) The Missouri Valley Conference helped lead the charge in renaming 1-AA to FCS because of the precieved advantages in recruiting for basketball. 2) In addition, the Missouri Valley Conference extended its name for the MVFC to help with the conferences image on a national scale for recruiting in basketball. NOTE: They only have 5 schools playing football, but get all the advantages of having a FB conference by leveraging other conferences schools. The Summit League (if they add UNO and UND) will have 6 schools playing FB. So, I think it is interesting that the Summit League who is trying to move up to mid-major conference status would allow its primary regional competition the Missouri Valley Conference to use Summit League schools to improve its image in recruiting for basketball. In the long run, schools playing in the MVFC would only hurt themselves. It would only be an advantage if they were assured that they would be allowed into the conference at some point in the future. But, the interesting part is that the schools in the MVFC (NDSU, SDSU and WIU) - in my opionon would not be the leading candiates to join the Missouri Valley Conference if it expanded in the future. In my opinion the pecking order would be - UNO, USD, WIU, SDSU, NDSU and then UND. Of course this changes if MVC moves to FBC but I am not sure that they can do that within the next 10 year window. So, I think things are going to get very interesting within the next couple of years. If the Summit League plays it card right with the support of its core football schools. It could pass the Big Sky, Horizon and gain on MVC by absorbing the GWFC and adding UNO and UND. A Summit League Football Conference would include: SDSU NSDU &Poly &Cal Davis WIU SUU USD UND UNO It is really striking when you look at the MVFC without SL schools: NORTHERN IOWA - MVC SOUTHERN ILLINOIS - MVC MISSOURI STATE - MVC ILLINOIS ST - MVC INDIANA ST - MVC & YOUNGSTOWN ST - HL
  24. The only games with announcer were FSSN broadcast games. The other games had the PA announcer..
  25. According to the article in the GFH it looks like we have two FBS games.. The Sioux schedule could be even more demanding next season. In addition to Montana, UND is tentatively scheduled to play Division I FBS games at Idaho and Northern Illinois.
