Tough weekend and TOUGH losses for you guys this weekend. People can be so stupid: when they anounced the scores last night people were cheering for you guys losing!?!!? WTF? HOW CAN ANYONE CHEER FOR THE RED MENACE? I was pulling for you guys all weekend, I was disappointed to say the least. Next weekend is HUGE for the Gophers and UND and it centers around if the Dogs can hold off the Gophers. Gonna be a good weekend next week all around. We'll do our best to put you guys back on top! "throwback" jersies have been pretty popular down here (we have done 4 now from the early 70's and early 90's), and one of our guys has good luck making them as authentic as possible...you guys may want to try contacting him for his contacts? WPoS

Most bands will "intervene" if a bad chant starts up if there is no play on, but most college pep bands get boned from the get go...no money for them and new music, so you are stuck with old 70's tunes that sucked then. Adding the words to "good" songs/chants is a good idea, but it doesn't always work either. The best way to get a group of students do do the "right" thing is do it ala (*SHUDDER*) the BADgers. That student section rocks, is loud and cohesive, but actually generally "behaved". Teach 'em young and teach 'em often as freshmen. WPoS

Well I for one am pulling (*shudder* ) for UND to sweep the Red MENACE from the east (not BU). The things that you have going for you are: your speed your multi-line scoring ability BADger penalty draw PP kill (if it is as good as it was against us) Things against you: The Kohl Center: fans are VERY cohesive and CAN affect the game BADgers trying to get back on track UND penalty draw The penatlies and reffing definitely could affect the game for your guys, hopefully you can stay outa the box and take 4 from them! I'd take some name calling anyday then the crap last two years at the "U", at least your student "fans" aren't rioting. WPoS

we'll see what this weekend brings. All I can say about the rivalry is this: UW is the TRADITIONAL rival of the Gophers, but UND is closing fast as the #1 hockey rival. WPoS

I'd agree the WCHA is THE league to be in and play against. Unfortunatly that YAHOO over at CSTV thinks HE is the dominant league with the WCHA not as strong. To quote him: "1.
