rip me all you want, but the Gopher were the ONLY team to CLEANLY and W/O question win their two games....I'd think that DOMINATING a team is worth something (yes a team that is not playing well but at least we didn't have to "come back" against the dreggs of the league )....but I guess not here.... I'll wait till the game is over to see if all the UND fans that are so confident of a Gopher loss to see if they eat any crow or go and hide....I'm confident my boys will win Friday night. Stats aside, IMO when you get to playoffs, you can take MOST of them and toss them out the window...tUMD goalie (won't even try to spell it) sure didn't live up to his rep or stats when playing MSU. Neither did UND's or UW's goaltenders...playoff hockey is different than regular season. WPoS

If I cheer for UND it really depends on whom they are playing (if playing WCHA)...and how well I am treated here! WPoS

yes a few beers do. But this winter when I had the propane flower heater along and we had to use it to thaw the beers. THAT was cold. And no, we TAILGATE, no stinking bars for us! Tasty animal parts grilled to perfection, beers and BeerDarts! St.Paul doesn't have "tailgating" laws like by the dome. THe Gopher group has a little lot where we have an "in" with the owner and we tailgated there the last two years and this year also should be no problem. If you want to gate, before you pull into a lot, I'd ask the person you are paying to see if it is ok to open a few barley pops. WPoS

Gophers + doing well after sweeping JBSU + unusual players are starting to produce + Key players are doing very well + Ice more conducive to Gopher style of play + "home" advantage, small but tangible - goaltending still a bit shaky - coughing up the puck consistently 3-4 times a game right in front of the net UMD + strong team + high scoring team + great goalie - down 3 (I think) players - dropped a game to MSU, WHY? This is the big question, do they have the depth to continue? - larger ice WPoS

sorry to hear that PCM, don't I detect a bit of a hacking cough developing tho? Maybe some runny nose and fever? For those fans that it is impossible to make it tothe game it does totally suck and I agree, I'd be a bit torqued off too. Last year I was on a boat in the Carribean during hte UM/Mich game and the "sports bar" on board didn't even have ESPN...I was mighty ticked...so I can understand that. WPoS

it is easy to watch your team PCM, anyone can still buy tickets there are still plenty available on the club level. I heard one UND fan here say that Gopher fans don't travel well.... I always get the full package so I assure myself I don't miss my beloved Gophers. IMO everyone whho is consistantly in the top five should do that. No complaining that way! And yes, I am going Thursday night and taking the WHOLE day off on Friday and plan on going to watch the UND game... WPoS

actaully, the weather is supposed, I say SUPPOSED, to be mid 50's on Friday and Saturday, so the roads should be fine. Think of it this way: you will miss rush hour traffic! Hey, that is a bonus driving in from the NW! Gotta find a ray of sunshine for you SOMEWHERE! WPoS

already have the day off and plan on making the Thurs game also...most of my friends do also....I think if the Gophers were forced to play in the afternoon, we'd still have a lion's share of the revenue brought in. WPoS

agree totally, show the Final Five in its entirity! As for any arguement that the Minnesota game doesn't make more money than anyone else someone really needs to see the numbers and then make a comment. I firmly believe that the games for the Gophers regardless of time would be the bigger seller than any other team when it is at the X. So why not reward a program that can bring the WCHA more money? Does it suck for other schools? YES. Is it fair? NO. But it is about money...so unless you are going to make more money for the WCHA you are not going to get the "sweet" spot as easily. Same goes for the TV contracts. The Gophers have a larger audience than other schools so they will garner more market and air time htna other schools. Face it. They make more money. They have a larger audience. They will continue to. Again, not fair and even, but that is life sometimes. Homer announcers, well we'll just let that one lie. EVERY team that has any small home advantage has homer announcers....especially when you are on the opposite team. WPoS

Join the dark side Luke! Again, it is not the GOPHERS that did this it is the WCHA...try and blame the Gophers all you want, it does come down to what is best $$ for the WCHA. WPoS

while I agree that lots of those songs are good, piped in music just plain sucks...get your band some more ching so you can have a more "college" atmosphere vs. the NCC atmosphere.... WPoS
