But what bugs me about all these arenas is trying to get the student section to act like catholic school girls visiting the Vatican. Cheering doesn't need swearing, but what is wrong with the student section(s) in arenas standing and making noise!??! WPoS

unfortunatly I think all college sports will go the way of PC correctness. It IS sad. Many old traditions will end up as memories. Your moving into a new arena and some stupid football fans will affect your hockey fan base profoundly. In the old Mariucci the atmosphere was much more college. In the new barn much more "corpy". Sadly I think this is what is happening to you guys. The people in the corpy seats don't want to listen to a bunch of rowdy college kids (sadly, since many of them did the same thing in their youth). I would love to see you guys get the upper hand on the "corpies". Maybe you can take back YOUR arena for YOUR program and others can follow your example. I sincerly hope this works out for you guys! congats to Murray, he is a quality player, and one of my most potent forwards on my fantasy team! I'd like to see him keep it up (unless playing us of course )! WPoS

all truth be told I think P-Mart leaving is one of the main reasons the Gophs struggled early on in the season. It is hard to replace a guy that went straight to the pros with a frosh. WPoS

hey now, don't get TOOO personal there buddy! Have no fear I have it well documented where and WHOM originated that! Silly Packer fans have already tried to steal it! Just to chime in onthe whole Gophre fan/cop incident. I was RIGHT there up about 12 rows from it. The cop was pretty agressive towards the guy, but the guy did push back and shove the cop, so he pretty much got what he deserved. But the cop could have been a bit less "enthusiastic" about the approach. DHG and tPB are more than welcome in my eyes do do what they want IN THEIR OWN ARENA. A few years ago I thought about trying a lap, but then reason kicked in and I knew if I tried it tPB would absolutely destroy anyone who tried. While the guy ended up in jail for the night it would be much better there than the hospital. Sufice to say, while I may not like the lap as a Gopher fan I LOVE it as a college hockey fan. One thing I WILL steal from tPB is this: "win or lose, we booze!" WPoS
