Yes, but they didn't have a D2 either like we did. I'm not so sure that makes our schedule the killer you make it out to be. The Mines game will bug me for a long, long time.

This whole season is an epic failure. -The team finishes below .500 and of course no conference title or playoffs. -Two embarrassing major blowouts -Still no FBS win despite several years of trying -Lose to the conference doormat -A defense that is among the worst in FCS -Out coached at every level It may be unrealistic to think things will get drastically better next year. Muss will almost certainly be back, and we start out with a totally inexperienced quarterback. I don't think this is doing wonders for recruiting either.

I have never figured out the SMSU problem with football. I remember 5 or 6 years ago they lost to Moorhead at a time when the Dragons hadn't won a game in like 2 years. It's not like SMSU has no commitment to athletics, they made a heck of a run in the D2 basketball tourney a few years ago and I was at the basketball game in Marshall when SMSU beat Jones. One would think there would be plenty of D2 caliber kids to pick from in that area.
