That's the fate of all FCS teams now days. Gonna be lucky to get two years out of the good players.

OK, so you say GF runway was shutdown and gfNDfan says Jamestown runway was shut down. Surely there has to be more than one commercial runway at these airports, especially GF.
-
But the EAS subsidy still bugs me. It's a total waste of taxpayer money
-
I read that USD flipped an NDSU recruit the other day so they are showing signs of life. From the looks of it Jacks and Bison have had a lot commits the last few weeks and from people who are highly rated too. Bubba, Oh Bubba, where art thou Bubba?
-
The latest passenger boarding numbers for ND airports was released. Every airport in the state showed an increase except for two: GF and Jamestown. GF only showed a slight decline, Jamestown was off heavily. In fact Jamestown showed a 77% decrease in May 24 compared to May 23. It's sad that the feds keep subsidizing Jamestown. https://aero.nd.gov/image/cache/NDAC_May_2024_Airline_Boarding_Report.pdf

What looks so bad about this loss is that he didn't flip to a bigger school that came along, he's leaving UND and now looking for something else. I'm sure he's hoping for something big to come his way but to walk away and say he's 100% open makes me think it's not a good look for the program. How else can you read it?

Don't knock Bubba, he's on a roll now. Next we might steal one from Indiana State or Western Illinois. Who knows, maybe even Drake?

New Massey ratings are out for the season. Has UND ranked at 11 and basically shows 6-6 for the year, depending a few tossup games. https://masseyratings.com/cf2024/fcs/ratings https://masseyratings.com/cf2024/5538

TSC is a joke now days. TSC stands for Toys, Shoes, and Coats. And that's about all they have.
-
^^^This. I lost whatever respect I had for Noem after that stunt. I agree, not political.

Home of Economy sold to Runnings. I'm guessing there goes a major broadcast sponsor. Does Runnings run radio ads?
-
And it looks like SDSU at Oklahoma State might also be on national TV. Bison game against Colorado is already announced for ESPN. We sit here with nothing (again).

Don't get too excited. It ain't happening. --------------------------------------------- Mike McFeely: What if the top teams in the Valley and the top teams in the Big Sky formed an FCS super-conference, with the hope it would position those schools to move to the G5 together if that opportunity ever presented itself? And even if they got stiffed from the G5, wouldn't an FCS super-conference still be more interesting and a better option than playing in the same league with the Murray States, Indiana States, Northern Colorados and Cal Polys of the world? Since the Valley and Big Sky wouldn't cease to exist, maybe the new league could fall under the banner of the Summit League and commissioner Josh Fenton, who has fans among the Dakotas schools that are members of the Valley and Summit. The chances of this actually happening are zero. Or less. But that would be one heck of an FCS football conference. And Summit League basketball would be a blast, too. Imagine NDSU, South Dakota State, South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, Montana State, Idaho, Weber State and Sacramento State in the same conference. The Sheet isn't sure if NDSU and SDSU would want to do this because they'd drag along UND and USD and we're pretty sure they don't want to do that. The Sheet believes NDSU, for sure, would prefer to go FBS by themselves and at most partner with SDSU. The Sheet, too, realizes SDSU, Montana and Montana State might have no interest in spicing things up because their fan bases seem to remain at a fever pitch. The degradation of the FCS with James Madison, Sam Houston and others moving up only seems to concern people in Fargo.

Take it with a grain of salt, maybe lots of salt. Bison at 1? Coyotes at 4? Sac State at 7? Have to see what the polls look like after a few weeks of play.
-
Gross.
-
Bubba had a playoff run? One win over Missouri State in the covid screwed up spring season of 2020 does not constitute a "run".
-
Maybe send him a copy of Funk and Wagnalls dictionary so he can look up the meaning of the word "committed". He obviously doesn't know.
-
Fixed your post.

The N$AA is going to have to put a minimum waiting period between transfers as well as limited number of times you can transfer. Things are beyond "out of hand".
-
I've got Indiana State in the win column, but not a sure win since UND almost lost to them last year
-
Well, kids that blow their NIL money will get a education in life. Maybe it will teach them to save the money if they get a second chance at more. Most times those lessons are better than what you learn in the classroom.
-
I'd think the AD would bid based on what he thinks it takes to secure the game, not on how many show up. Losing money on the first round is not uncommon I bet.
-
If Bubba follows his usual pattern this will be the year we miss the playoffs altogether and then the athletic dept has the money. I agree with Oxbow, it's a money grab. You might be on to something about the idea originating with REA.

Can't they sell the season ticket holders their seat after the game is announced? Isn't that how it's done elsewhere? It really doesn't matter to me since I'm not a season ticket holder, but it sure isn't adding any incentive for me to run out an buy either.
-
I don't have season tickets but this is about the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Forcing people to buy something is never good.
