  1. and how many of them were starters last spring? I'm guessing here but one maybe?
  2. I don't think it is automatic that we should have called timeout after the sack. To me it's similar to when a team scores to take the lead late in a basketball game. Some coaches want to take the ball and go and not let the defense strategize. Other coaches want the timeout to get their offense set even though it lets the defense do the same. Like someone else pointed out - the big pass rusher from SDSU was out taking a breather. That is an advantage In this case we didn't execute the play and turned the ball over. If we make the thow and catch it's a great decision. I agree with others that part of what Bubba was doing in his postgame interview was to protect the players from criticism. And in hindsight, we threw an inteception on the play so any other option could have turned out better - or not. Do people really think that not calling a timeout would have made the throw more accurate or the WR to run his route differently? I find that hard to believe myself.
  3. Don’t want to go through the whole thread. Did Bubba get any credit on here when went for it on 4th and 1 from own 34 on drive that tied game at 21?
  4. This is gold.
  5. Last one looked like it was picked I thought - we’ll at least we have them backed up. Instead Brock hauls it in on the 5 huge play
  6. Huge run by Otis to get to midfield. I was having Missouri St flashbacks after that run. This time we closed it out.
  7. Offense really struggling today. And fumble on 1 of 2 drives we did have
  8. Looks like wrist
  9. Unfortunately we aren't making the trek from TC today for the game so no Sack City sign. I should have left it with our tailgating crew. Driving in the snow not very appealing. Lucky can watch it on TV.
  10. It's like wathcing from the worst seat in the arena.
  11. I was surprised at the fire that Youngstown had on their sidelines. The players and especially the coaches were jumping around with the result of most every play. It was kind of PJ Fleck-esque
  12. Was at the game. One of very few in the stands. I had chalked it up as a loss. We weren’t very good to start on D and same on O for 3 quarters. one thing Tommy is really good at is finding someone In end zone when play breaks down. Happened on one TD I think and 2 point conversion
  13. Yep. Will be making the treck again this weekend to see the game.
  14. We are having a rough fall with a number of close losses and nobody is happy with that. That being said, we did win the conference 6 months ago and were in the final 8 in the playoffs so it hasn't been a very long run of futility.
  15. Gonna take a while to get over this one. Feel sick to my stomach.
  16. Yes. OL recovered it. Dosch commented that he'd be spending time next to RB coach for a while.
  17. Isaih was out because he fumbled on the previous drive
  18. sounded like a direct snap to him and he tried to hand to Boltmann on sweep. But that's what I got from listening to Jack Michaels so who the hell knows.
  19. Bitch about the coaches all you want but they put us in position to win and the players gotta make plays. On 4th down they couldn't execute a play I'm sure they've practiced a hundred times. Dosch said the play was there if they don't fumble the handoff. Also can't fumble when trying to run out the clock.
  20. Shoot - I might have to get the sack city sign up and running from a distance.
  21. Our band must be there.
  22. Jack Michaels = Paul Allen both drive me nuts
  23. Has there been a replay shown on ESPN+ yet today?
  24. Any idea why we sub Siegel out in some passing situations? I thought he was one of our better d-backs and would be on the field.
  25. Danny loves to run a lot of misdirection stuff where we are outnumbered if the D isn't fooled. And we don't seem to be fooling people very often.
