Going to games at both the old an new Ralph with my dad, then going to work in Maryland and working with a bunch of UND grads come Friday or Saturday if we where in town it was always on thanks to fox college sports. So its that camaraderie. And just the great memories from being in the band and striking up in heaven there is no beer and watching the whole arena whether it's the Ralph or Alerus Center join in on all the fun.

Also had he been wearing a cage the half a foot long whistle would have been entangled in the players equipment, then you get an injury like Buzz Olson got (he's the local officials instructor out of EGF) fight in EGF vs Crookston High School game (go figure) he didn't get his whistle off and it got stuck in a cage causing his left hand's fingers to bend in unnatural positions to this day the best drs have been able to do is uncurve the bend his fourth finger still sticks side ways though.

The whistle, you'd have to have he cage right on the face. Think umpire minus the padding or a whistle that is about 5 inches long.

Will they have the 4 minute penalty for high sticking if they go to the half shield.

Both players and referees say they see better without either the cage or half shield but I think going to the full cage optional half shield is a good start the NCAA isn't going to go to no face protection.

The half shield should be approved, but it won't they will fall on the player safety sword even though the high sticks will go down, I'm surprised that they don't require ear guards.
