  1. It's 2008, get faster internet, enough said!
  2. I don't understand that goal, I always thought that puck in a shootout or penalty shot always has to remain going in a forward position. Clearly, with the spin-a-rama move the puck is getting back and is not sustaining constant forwardness. Anyone explain this? Regardless, that was one hell of a goal, so sick!
  3. This thread is so stupid. The coach is amazing he is doing a great job. The girls are on a transition period, they will be great not good, but great in two years. He has the respect of all the girls, to say that he needs to be fired is so dumb. Do you remember how this team faired last year? If not go check back on old scores and do some research and then we''ll talk. He's wort every penny for the program right now....... get over yourself people!!!!!!!!!
  4. Joe will come back, and then Miller will be a spark plug on the first or second line. That will help some consistency and then make another line better, because I would assume miller goes with vandy and duncs, and then hextall drops down to line two or grinder line three.
  5. Pretty sure chemistry starts with the right lines together, just like mentioned.... enough said!
  6. I blame Hak for this loss. I am sick of him changing the lines every night, how do you develop any type of consistency with your lines? I know what he is doing, he is giving everyone a chance to get some ice time now and try somethings out, and hopefully everyone will be ready to go with the season really starts after Christmas, like he has been doing the last four years, but when tonight would of been a huge win, why not leave your line up the exact same the night before, with the exception of blood playing (I had no problem with him getting time)? I mean it doesn't take that bright of a hockey expert to see how bad kozek and malone and watty play when they have new lines every night, you can through in zajac too, when these players have different lines game in and game out, they can't develop let alone sustain any consistency. This is a joke to me, but hey I am no Hak, nor the coach. He's done this before in the past, I am just having a hard time seeing this night go to waste....
  7. Produce or live up to your potential enough said. Everyone knows he (Derrick)is capable of being a lot better. We just haven't seen it yet and we are waiting.......
  8. Wow, nice win by the boys. Who would of thought they would of put up 7 goals against Cornell? Nice to see a well played full 60 minutes. Nice to see Mario in the line-up I really like his presence out there. Lapoint, I am sorry but you need to sit out, Blood plays tonight, and Cory Finaage, in my mind had a solid game last night for not playing in a game in awhile. It's nice to Frats step up, yesterday was Fratty Fratturday! I knew this kid had a bomb of a shot, so when he wasn't scoring I thought, is he really a bust or is he in one bad slump? I would say 5 goals in the last 3 games, that it was just a bad slump. Last but not least, Eideness played really well, first goal was one of the softest goals he has given up, but he responded well after that goal. Now the real question is can we get a sweep tonight and actually be happy with this team for a weekend? Tonight we shall See.........
  9. Not to a be a jerk, but you are an idiot, Wisconsin will not be higher then the Sioux and UAA. I watched Wisconsin pretty hard when the Sioux played them, they are god awful, I know the Sioux are struggling and aren't that great right now, but Sconnie is serious brutal with their defensive system and lack of scoring, they don't have any real true offensive talent on that team, "big names" on the o side.
  10. A lot of interesting scores from the WCHA last night. I would of never guess Alaska upsetting Colorado College. St. Cloud also destroyed the Badgers. Looking at the current standings in the WCHA, most teams have about 4 losses, other then the current unstoppable Minnesota Gophers (which I don't really care for, and we'll see how they are at the end of the year). I think the Sioux tonight need a must win, I hope they rock their black jersey's and realize it's all business tonight. I see the Sioux ending up in the top 4 of the WCHA this year, which is fine for them and they will go on a great run into the WCHA Final Five tourney, and the National one as well. As long as they get healthy and keep getting good play from the freshman and continue to improve, I don't see any reason why this team can't compete/beat any team in the nation. How would you guys rank your pre-season WCHA standings now after a few games in the conference has been played?
  11. I did not not notice that the person spelled "Sioux" wrong, that is pretty pathetic. Nice job pointing that out.
  12. http://fans.nhl.com/members/Thorn058/blogs/24112 Pretty informative read. Thoughts, reflections?
  13. I knew this team could play alongside with anyone as long as they played better team defense and played a full 60 minutes. This sioux team has tons of depth which is a great thing, malone and frats sit out and the team doesn't miss a beat without those two players in the line up. That is something special there. Also big Joe has still yet to play, despite peoples love hate relation of Joe, he will be a critical asset to the team. He is big and has a long stick that can be utilized a lot on the penalty kill and other key scenarios. All in all, a great win and go sioux tonight! Sweep, boom baby!
  14. Well said, I totally agree. Women these days..... ;(
  15. Who are you kidding? The true die hard fans and students will be there, it will be lights out!
  16. I had to rebut the first game. Totally gay, they better refund my first 8 dollars. Go Sioux!
  17. This team will be deep, I love what was displayed. We will have more options of great d-man and forwards, and great players will have to be scratched. I think this is the most balanced team I've seen in a while. We have everyone role of player you would need. This should as always be an interesting year. I expect banner #8 with this class of freshman not playing like freshman all year!
  18. No love for Jason Greogire? c'mon AZSioux, you know your hockey!
  19. It's absolutely ridiculous that some College kids at UND do not have debit/credit cards.... once your 18 and you move on out of mommy and daddy's basement its time to grow up! I just don't understand it!
  20. Not trying to knock women's hockey. but I hope you have some deep pockets my friend
  21. It's simple logic, you televise home games, less people fill up the Alerus. That is the sole reason behing not haveing telvised home games. You can look up the data from past years when they had more games televised.
  22. You DaveK of all people would say that, quit thinking closed minded!
  23. I think that the Ralph, needs to start incorporating new songs at hockey games, while I love the old rock music of 80's and your classic AC/DC stuff, in 2008 we need to add some new stuff with the currently crop of music out there. My suggestions: 1. Some Audioslave 2. The Let It Rock Song with Kim Rundolph and Lil Wayne - I know this song will get old but at the hockey games it would get the crowd going 3. Incubus - anything 4. Trapt, another song besides "Headstrong", yes they have other good pump up songs....examples "Stand up" 5. Kanye West's new song "Love Lockdown" sweet beat to get the crowd going 6. Muse 7. Foo Fighters 8. The Raconteurs 9. 30 Second to Mars 10. Starting Line - "Island (Float Away" 11. Linkin Park - Anything on Minute to midnights album What do you guys think?
