  1. I’nm sure some recruits will trickle in over the next for months or there will be a slight off period. Leagues/hockey started up, will give the coaches time to review some players and get a sample size of data. UND’s season starts too soon, so I like to focus on the team and the present. This team “should” be good. We shall see.
  2. To be a fly on the wall closing/tracking sales at the Sioux Shop today… Got one ordered.
  3. About to be sold out in 3, 2, 1…
  4. More money for coaches isn't the answer, it would help. Bubba is who he is, he's had a lot of time with the program, he got his extension etc. and he's had quite the leash. If they miss the playoffs this year again, are we better off today than yesterday? I would say no. UND football (don't quote me) appears to have more resources than in years past. When I was a student, the team didn't have the high performance center for example. Excuses have to end eventually. Roger Thomas and Dale Lenon did more with less, no?
  5. It’s the same story every year. Winning and getting better just hasn’t caught on. What’s a successful year this year? Make the playoffs, make the playoffs and win one game? Not making the playoffs and the program takes a step backwards… I’’m willing to support the UND football program but if you want the Alerus Center full one day, a winning team/culture that can do some damage is much needed. I realize it’s a process but let’s say this year team misses playoffs, is the program/recruiting getting better? Or do we keep selling/marketing the program saying it is without results? Come on Bubba and coaches. Make a run one year and be the talk of the town Are we/you doing your best? Incremental improvement to me has been really disappointing. Wts, I knew yesterdays game would be tough but so are the remaining games. Simple question, are we actually getting better?
  6. Kudos on the skills/work. If I am being truly honest, I can’t stand how the “North Dakota” font looks. The “D” looks terrible in my opinion. If we took a random people poll that doesn’t have any clue of UND football and the university etc. I wonder how many people think this logo displays a “ND” ? Serious question.
  7. Saw a post on the gram that Colorado College is getting new jerseys. Literally had the worst jerseys I’ve seen in college hockey the last few years. Up next, UND. New logo, new jersey.
  8. Unless this kid has an elite first half in the USHL, I’d be curious what UND would see in him with his stats so far. Just hockeydb’d him. There’s a million good MN high school kids ever year in MN. Only a few become studs in college.
  9. I thought NDSU could beat Alabama? Do their fans wakeup to reality after yesterday's lost? Kudos to their program in the last decade and the titles, but their fanbase was getting a "little" arrogant.
  10. Losses will come and go. Just want the team playing well in March into April. Should have beat Norte Dame last year but the scoring wheels fell off. Funny looking back, Pinto and Sanderson both played in a few natty playoff games only. Yikes!
  11. Wasn’t the Sioux logo on the collar of the jersey?!
  12. Popolinos pizza. Blue Moose spin dip. Schneider tacos from Red Pepper. Steak at Helix. Pita Pit (hopefully, it’s still good). Speedway was always under the radar before and after UND hockey games. That’s all that comes top of mind.
  13. That bad eh? What are we talking, below 10K? I hope not….
  14. Anything new to report in the Alerus this year? Upgrades/changes etc. ?
  15. Some positive news in GF and with the new restaurant taking over the old Whiteys. GF is dying and not growing. Nice to see something new.
  16. Decent player. Good college career. Not sure if the fans expected more out of him. Was a 2nd round pick (very late 2nd round pick), but there’s plenty of 2nd round NHL picks that don’t do much in their professional career. Hope he gets a NHL game soon.
  17. Question - who was UND’s last twin cities big recruit? Shane Gerisch? MN forwards over the years haven’t done much in the NHL. Erik Haula (decent NHL career) Nick Bjugstad (I’d say underwhelming career). Who else? Casey Middlestedt only played one year U of M and didn’t accomplish much. UND has had some studs is Brock B. Nick Schmaltz (decent, not great NHL player) Brock Nelson in the last decade at forward
  18. Recruits come and go… I just want a new gawd damn logo soon!
  19. https://www.therinklive.com/mens-division-1/big-10/top-ranked-recruit-and-massachusetts-native-picks-gophers At what point, did you think UND had a chance? Sure we had discussions and maybe an offer… Kid was wearing Gopher gear as a young lad, and has family and friends in MN that lead him to Shattuck.
  20. This team at forward has a lot of pieces to shuffle the deck and with matchups against teams. With Albrecht development and Portz speed, can be quite effective. Then coaches I would imagine can toss in Strinden as heavy/gritty player against bigger teams once he develops and is sound in his own end and adjusts to the college game. If Ness can play with some more skilled players, maybe he gets more looks this year too and ups his Gs. Bottom line, team at forward has depth because which is good, because unfortunately injuries will happen.
