  1. Wasn’t the Sioux logo on the collar of the jersey?!
  2. Popolinos pizza. Blue Moose spin dip. Schneider tacos from Red Pepper. Steak at Helix. Pita Pit (hopefully, it’s still good). Speedway was always under the radar before and after UND hockey games. That’s all that comes top of mind.
  3. That bad eh? What are we talking, below 10K? I hope not….
  4. Anything new to report in the Alerus this year? Upgrades/changes etc. ?
  5. Some positive news in GF and with the new restaurant taking over the old Whiteys. GF is dying and not growing. Nice to see something new.
  6. Decent player. Good college career. Not sure if the fans expected more out of him. Was a 2nd round pick (very late 2nd round pick), but there’s plenty of 2nd round NHL picks that don’t do much in their professional career. Hope he gets a NHL game soon.
  7. Question - who was UND’s last twin cities big recruit? Shane Gerisch? MN forwards over the years haven’t done much in the NHL. Erik Haula (decent NHL career) Nick Bjugstad (I’d say underwhelming career). Who else? Casey Middlestedt only played one year U of M and didn’t accomplish much. UND has had some studs is Brock B. Nick Schmaltz (decent, not great NHL player) Brock Nelson in the last decade at forward
  8. Recruits come and go… I just want a new gawd damn logo soon!
  9. https://www.therinklive.com/mens-division-1/big-10/top-ranked-recruit-and-massachusetts-native-picks-gophers At what point, did you think UND had a chance? Sure we had discussions and maybe an offer… Kid was wearing Gopher gear as a young lad, and has family and friends in MN that lead him to Shattuck.
  10. This team at forward has a lot of pieces to shuffle the deck and with matchups against teams. With Albrecht development and Portz speed, can be quite effective. Then coaches I would imagine can toss in Strinden as heavy/gritty player against bigger teams once he develops and is sound in his own end and adjusts to the college game. If Ness can play with some more skilled players, maybe he gets more looks this year too and ups his Gs. Bottom line, team at forward has depth because which is good, because unfortunately injuries will happen.
  11. Good photoshop skills or whatever application you used for your work, kudos! However, I wouldn't spend a dime on one of these if they ever saw the light - no thanks!
  12. I’ll donate money right now for new logo voted by the students and alumni. That fundraiser is one I can get behind. If an independent logo funds was started, do you think the university shuts it down? Serious question.
  13. Any update on the transfer goalie in the summer skates? He's going to be the back bone of the team if he can come in and play well. Should be an exciting year!
  14. Coaches were too busy playing and stroking off Luke Hughes. Like playing 2 lines only in state semifinal and final games. Not usually the recipe for success.
  15. Lotta Gophers on that WJC team… Pretty causal tournament for Knies and Faber. Yikes… I think Faber is a decent college player but tremendously overrated.
  16. I’m talking strictly during the game (crowd) or after whistle or longer timeouts etc. Always room for improvement.
  17. Covid still unprecedented severely death in Canada too.
  18. Maybe one day the World Juniors will be streamed in the states again. !@#$ grinds my gears!
  19. Just sucks it's the only way to watch. I still can't believe the NHL Network doesn't have a subscription base/fee. I feel like many NHL fans would pay 2-4.99/month to have the NHL Network to watch this and during peak NHL season and the playoffs.
