I was told that Wagner was the FCS school that they were in discussions with, as some here have speculated.

I remember. That was such a fun team and I'll always have fond memories of them. But that was also the team that blew a 20-point lead to Virginia Union, so I think the whole comparison to this year's NDSU team is a bit of a stretch.

It would take a couple of upsets in the first round for the rule to matter this year. It's when Minnesota is a 2 or 3 then it sort of pisses me off. The play-in winner on Thursday night has to turn around and play Friday afternoon against a bye team? Dumb.

I vaguely recall teh Minnesota rule being repealed also, but only on message boards. Interesting.
