Not that it's any of my business, but a couple of things are bothering me here. Why is Goon's distaste of the Gophers "silly and irrational", while your hatred of all things NDSU is justified? Please reconcile that for me. Okay, then you go into this diatribe about anybody that doesn't bother to watch Saturday's final is not a fan? You have stated in the past that if and when the Fighting Sioux name is changed, it will be a "different team"? Maybe you're not a true fan of North Dakota hockey? Maybe I'm wrong, but you've eluded to the fact that you'll pull the plug on your support for the program? That doesn't sound like much of a fan to me, please correct me if I'm wrong. I don't mean to pick at you, I'm on the same page as you with the glam metal and long hair, etc. and you do some cool things with sharing your collection of sports videos, but the above points seem to contradict themselves and I'm wondering what you have to say about it.

Friday-Sunday could work on the basketball weekend, that's what I'd like to see. I didn't like the early Saturday start for the finals in the past. And you want to avoid the evening time slot on that Saturday like the plague.

Let's not imply that there was "leadership" involved in the cases of Winnipeg and Grand Forks. Duff's Ditch was built largely in part to the 1950 flood. The same with the 60-foot dike in GF built reactively to 1997. Unfortunately that seems to be the way it works, $h1t hits the fan and various agencies appropriate money in prevention mode.

A road game in Fargo is something I could certainly live with. A cash game on the road would be even better if there's any to be had, but we already have one of those against TT.

I agree with Goon. The loss hurts like hell, but this team exceeded expectations IMO, particularly winning the McNaughton. Looking at that roster in October I saw a 4th place WCHA team and about a 3 seed in the NCAA. Looking forward to next fall and another great season of Sioux hockey! Perhaps the last season of "SIOUX" hockey....

ESPN is biased towards ratings, and advertising revenue. If they even could get a sniff of the basketball tournament they'd dump the whole college hockey thing in a nano-second. So I guess I agree with soohockey15.
