I was at the game and didn't see anything out of the ordinary or anything that would have depicted a lack of effort or leadership - obviously when you are getting the !@#$ kicked out of you the sidelines are going to be a little quiet. Doesn't mean there weren't conversations or leadership happening.

Well it must be a good sign that the "On the ledge" mentally that permeates hockey after a bad loss has come to some of the football fans.

There is no way the staff is going to panic the way some are, they will stay the course and play the men they have. Injuries suck but to think they would consider changing the entire defense is crazy. But it makes for a conversation.

Somewhat related - saw a Tweet about how SDSU was able to shut out SU fans from getting tickets by opening tickets sales to their own fans before opening for general admission. Game sold out before general admission opened. Not sure how they did it but hope UND ticket office makes a call. Of course there will be some SU in the stands but probably nothing compared to what it would have been. Other thought - are there other fan bases that wring their hands about attendance going down every time they suffer a loss? Is the thought that UND has an overabundance of fair weather fans? Did Montana see a drop off after their past year? Is UND unique because of the amount of money 12,000 of their biggest fans have to spend on hockey tickets?

Doesn't history show that attendance is driven by opponent, time of year and event (first game of year, homecoming). We know the weekend of deer hunting means a huge dropoff no matter what. Trend is up, the last 2000 seats will always ebb and flow, that is just 15% of tickets.

USD has not proven anything by their wins, but as always it will come down to line play I think having had to go up against Utah will benefit our line toughness more than them pummeling Drake.

Our lines were dominated in the second half. If it happens next weekend I will be concerned, for this game I am just glad no one was helped off the field.
