Friday is sold out as well! That is cool! People schedule weddings on crazy dates. My cousin is getting married next summer, and my dad works in Alaska, 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off. He knows his schedule for way in advance. And what do they do? But schedule the wedding for the day he gets back from Alaska. He is going to be beat. He works the night shift and then has to fly all the way to Kentucky. People are idiots when it comes to scheduling weddings, it seems.

This is not cool. I read through the settlement, and I did not find anything that I did not already know. I do not like it.

The name may have died though. I am mad as heck and disappointed that people were so stupid when it came to this settlement.

I am angry about this! I do not ever want the name to change. Go Fighting Sioux! I am not impressed with anyone who decided that the settlement was a good idea.

One more thing, I would rather we keep the name and logo and forgo hosting playoff games then get rid of it. In the playoffs, we could wear the exact same jerseys, just with a big black spot over the logos (like when there is a bar covering someone's eyes).

I wish we would have fought it out to the end. I do not ever want to see the name or logo changed. But perhaps if it has to change, lets change it to the Fighting Germans (EDIT: in fact, call them German-Russians). I do not believe that is taken yet, and there is a high percentage of people with German-Russian heritage in North Dakota. And German-Russians, like the Irish (Notre Dame), will be honored by it and not offended. But we really should not even have to discus a new name and logo, we should be able to keep it!!! No, we should not bribe the tribes. We should just keep the name. It is stupid that we should need somebody's approval for the name and logo.

If that is what it ultimately came down to, I would support it. The name and logo stay.

UND should do what ever it takes to keep the nickname. I do not care if the tribes support it or not. That, I believe, is not necessary. And if you have to go to court over that as well, then do it.
