What?!? There are more pressing issues than team names/logos. Quelle surprise! I think most of us have known about issues of poverty, crime, healthcare, etc. on reservations for years, but certain tone-deaf dullards of all races would rather work on issues that don't strain their brains.

I ordered a Nike Swift Sioux jersey from REA this week, and it should be here by Friday. From everything I've seen the Swift jerseys are largely the same product as far as venting, fit, etc. Not the genuine article, but I wanted something a bit "different" than the usual green and white offerings anyway. I'll post back and give my .02 about the product later.

Agreed. Somebody should remind the players, coaches and certain fans that this is not St. Cloud State. For somebody making $200k+/year to coach you'd think Hak would be a bit more interested in the game. His comments bordered on boredom ...

I'm not surprised. Given the SBoHE's recent lack of spine, I could see them getting rid of the name/logo ASAP. As well, I don't necessarily disagree with Paulsen's reasoning. Why bother "negotiating" with people who have no interest in talking to you. F**k 'em.

If the you can't control your own "house", you have deeper issues as a team. The new REA has never really been the team's house, and it's time for them to finally take the damn keys.

It's not necessarily a "superstition". A reason so many pro football and hockey teams went to black, or at least very dark colored, unis is that players tend to act and play more aggressively. Probably psychological, but whatever works.

And/or make it into the tourney by not being the LAST team picked. God forbid a team should try to dominate the conference, its NC opponents and anybody else from the start ...

Seeing people like you gives hope for people like me. And I bet Blais expected all of his teams to run the table, and even if they didn't he made damn sure they at least had the goal when they started dry land training. The result? Two Titles.

Some of us go into each season expecting to win every game, and win the FF. It may or may not happen, but the expectation is valid and it exists. Others are willing to settle for mediocrity and the hope the PWR and the selection committee will save the team's ass in the spring. We know where you stand.
