Considering how many USHL teams have failed in Fargo, and the fact 'su can't even maintain a club team very long, I think "Hockey Town" should be revised to read "Fail Town".

I'll remember that the next time some poor schlep from UND calls me asking for more money.

I don't really see this having anything to do with the name/logo issue, unless it's a further demonstration of the lack of gravitas on the part of the UND/SBoHE apparatus.

At the very least, it sets a standard against which other schools and the WCHA might handle similar incidents down the road. IMO, Haks manned up early, Eades gets to drive the Ferrari for a weekend and we move on.

Whatever your views on Knight being a "jerk", at least his players graduate and are probably more literate than most NC$$ bouncyball players. And if you're so upset about somebody flipping "the bird" perhaps this isn't the sport for you. Synchronized swimming is available somewhere.

I said before, and I'll say it again, the WCHA will not right itself until the member schools and their coaches decide they've had enough of the current regime. McLeod and Shepard really need to go, and it won't happen until the schools decide they deserve a better rules and officiating structure.

Until the coaches/schools decide "Enough is enough!" and push the the WCHA, which they effectively control, to "open up the game" and get away from their vision of "parity", this crap will continue. Along that same line, perhaps it's time for McLeod and Shepard to retire, along with some of the zebras.

I agree. A "W" and the two points are nice, but sloppy hockey at this point in the season isn't going to work in the long run.
