  1. Regardless of his talent, the last thing this team needs is some self-absorbed head case. His parents are probably pieces of "work" too.
  2. Come on. You're talking a "sovereign" nation. Just like Iran, China, North Korea or Zimbawbe.
  3. Agree. Once the name/logo go, I could care less if UND ever deals with SR/SL again, and would prefer they do not especially on picking a new name/logo.
  4. For some reason, I don't really see an overwhelming demand for this place.
  5. So is this going to change the fact that Starbucks coffee usually tastes like cigar ashes?
  6. I have yet another reason to go to St. Louis, which is only about 3 hours away from me.
  7. I remember when Wisconsin was a very rugged program. When did they start recruiting ice dancers? :D
  8. It's the down side of having a program that routinely sends guys into the pros, as well as the fact a lot of these guys have serious financial incentives to only stay a year or two.
  9. Because it's just so damn exciting to watch guys like Joe Finley move a puck on a breakaway rather than Oshie or Duncan.
  10. Leverage the hockey program's relationships with larger D1 schools to set up games for other sports, such as BB and FB.
  11. I blame that more on the team itself than on the rules. I'd rather see a more open game that allows the best team to win, rather than allowing less talented teams to sit on the blue lines all night.
  12. If the kid's parents show this pic to his friends when he's older, he'll have every right to murder them in their sleep.
  13. The only people who "hate" Apple are the corporate purchasing groups who can't get a good deal compared to the cheaper HP, Dell, etc. and probably gamer geeks who spend their days with their boxes and Cheetos. I switched my home computer from a series of HPs, Compaqs, etc. to Apple last spring and couldn't be happier.
  14. My goodness. You just seem so jaded and cynical. Is your inner-child ill? *virtual group hug*
  15. God, you went all the way back to November 2007 to find that quote? As for getting "the shaft" since 1492, get over it. It's too easy to keep being a "victim" and rely on your own self-pity.
  16. Interesting hypothesis. I suppose Seminoles were involved with Florida State from the beginning, and Utes were involved with Utah. Sounds like you guys don't value higher education.
  17. Small loss.
  18. And thereby saved the Earth from global warming ...
  19. So, if some of you don't agree with this board, its mods, members, admins, etc., leave and start your own.
  20. Considering how they played in Denver, they should have been arrested in Colorado.
  21. That's precisely the point I've been trying to make for the past 2-3 years. Anybody who follows this program should rightfully expect to win it all, every year. Call it "arrogance" or "entitlement" or whatever, but I expect our team to win, and win big. Naturally, that's will not always happen, and I, like alot of people here, get pretty pi$$ed if that doesn't happen. However, the passion to win it all is what drives most good teams and their fans. Unlike some folks, I am not satisfied with just getting into the FF. If we don't come home with a banner, I consider the season less-than-successful. That's how I view the world of Sioux hockey, and how I've viewed it for the past 30+ years. Now, if ya'll excuse me, I'm going to quit "working" and go drown my sorrows at The Bellagio.
  22. I agree. However, let's be honest, this team was often "phoning it in" for a good part of the tail-end of the season, regardless of the W-L-T record, and it finally caught them when it mattered the most. Now, Finley, Oshie, Duncan, et al. can sign and we see how the next crop does. /fore!
  23. Unfortunately, or not, I was not able to see the game live, (thanks American Airlines ) but from what I saw later, our guys really got handled from the first puck drop, and let themselves get handled until the final horn. I don't recall seeing a Sioux team playing in FF game basically forget to show up. I'm not ready to give up on Hakstol yet, but this "one and done" shiat is getting pretty old, regardless of what fans of other programs may expect of their own teams.
