Are you saying the most followed college sports team in ND is either UND or NDSU BB?? The same sport that got you into the Betty for $5 with a friday nite Sioux/Gopher ticket. Think they drew 2700 for the saturday matinee.

Good article on Brian Cooper in the Forum today. I have been watching him play over the last two seasons. The kid is the real deal and I would love to see him landed by Hak and co. I know it is hard to say at this point, but he really reminds me of Chay. He sees the ice extremely well, moves the puck up the ice with a lot of skill, and plays a great physical game, especially for his size (5'9" 180 lbs). Brian just turned 17 in November so he still has some growing left. He says he wants to play in the WCHA. I am in total support of our legislatures moving forward. Let this play out! Who cares if we get our hand slapped by the NC$$ for a couple of years? Wouldn't it be worth it if it helps us retain the name in the end? It is time that someone stands up to the political correctness in this country? Is it worth it? Hell yeah it is!!!! Something would give in the future! I just think we have been screwed over this since day one. I say we fight until the Standing Rock people are heard. Isn't that what this is about anyway??? So we don't get to host that many playoff games for a few years and who cares if we have to wear logo-less jerseys in the playoffs (plain jerseys with just the numbers on the back would maybe make a statement)? Also, we would be able play plenty of teams unless the Big Sky pulled the plug on us over the nickname issue. Seems rather unlikely! This whole roll-over mentality has me just baffled...........................

I don't have one yet, but my 3 year old daughter will be wearing one at the Ralph this weekend. They have kids shirts with Sioux Forever at Scheels in Fargo. I think they have adult sizes also, but am not 100% on that. By the way.... I had a Redskin forever shirt as well! Graduated from their right before they dropped the logo.

This years goaltending situation reminds me a lot of the 96-97 team. Schweitzer took over for Toby and the team never looked back. We all know how that ended. With Gothberg looming in Fargo, makes you wonder how long Brad will be here?

I was very impressed by all 4 freshman, especially Rodwell. He was the least-hyped of the 4 and has contributed as much as the rest up unitl the break. IF Forbort would have been healthy the entire 1st half he would have been the unanimous choice. That said he will probably be the best freshman down the stretch if he can stay healthy.

Perfect! I hate the fact that we have a banner that lists all the Frozen Four appearances we have. Those years aside from the ones that we have a corresponding NCAA title banner are considered by most longtime fans as failures. Those (FF appearances) banners hang in the arenas to likes of Bemidji, UMD, and other teams that have never won the big one!

Not that I am for firing Hak, but he needs to get it done soon! This has been the longest dry spell since Gino came on board in the late 70's. Yeah I know that he has recruited great players and has made it to the Frozen Four 4 times but.........he hasn't won the big one. To me that means we have been mediocre during his tenure.....kinda what Wooger was to the Goophers! IF he doesn't get it done in the next 4 years (10 years in charge of the program), there will be a lot of validity to the Fire Hak thread!!!!

I didn't even know we had a men's BB team......Thought they dropped the sport when Vonesh and Co. gradutated.

If I remember correctly the official deadline is now here. Wouldn't it be nice to show how pissed off we really are! Instead of a white-out, why not a black-out? I know it would be hard to pull it off, but if we picked a date, and got the word out it might work........ Maybe everyone is tired of how this played out and no one cares that much anymore?

Friday chant Sieve.....Sieve......Sieve.............. Saturday's Top 5 excuses why the Sioux lost. Excuse #1 We lacked a little energy in the second and were sloppy with the puck in our zone. Excuse #2 With the rough start to the season, we knew it was only a matter of time for this good team to have a solid game. Excuse #3 The officials were terrible (probably the most legit) Excuse #4 They got all the bounces. Excuse #5 Lee (insert any goaltender's name we face on Sat here) was on his game tonite.

Email Hoevens office as well and let them know that you are unhappy with the current board members and that he should consider the nickname viewpoints of his next appointees.
