w00t. But could you please not tell anyone, it's sort of a secret :D

Ok, I'll go with the Twitter widget for now. It's a bit tougher to combine searches and lists of people like I was doing myself before, but Twitter's widget is also a lot better than back when I originally felt the need to do it myself. I've been meaning to reimagine that whole section for quite a while, maybe this will light a little fire under me. But, this should have us back up and running for now.
-
You dropped me!

Exactly -- the 2nd part is what's going to be a couple hours work, processing the new return format. However, there are also some new display requirements (e.g. all the tweets have to be rendered with all usernames, hashtags, @s "live" like they would be if you were on twitter itself). For now I may just fall back to a feed of specific people, using Twitter's embedding capabilities and ponder whether it's still worth rolling my own going forward.

Yeah, twitter made a change that I'm going to have to figure out how to deal with. Will do so soon.

Oh yeah, I was trying to make a joke about my moniker being the same as my name. I'll take a black with "jimdahl".
-
I could have sworn I requested a "jimdahl" one... lemme look around a bit.

Ditto See you all next year... In all seriousness, how about that Boston comeback?

I call 'em like I see 'em. This, for example, was beautiful.

And the Pens are sitting Fleury. Vokoun to replace Fleury in net for Game 5

Crosby should get some sort of anti-MVP award, the team played better without him

As the season draws to a close, the playoffs have maintained the somewhat different look I noted at the beginning. In the East, the Devils seem out. Philly seems out. Rangers are on the bubble. It could also be quite Canadian -- 2 of the Canadian teams have clinched (Montreal, Toronto), and 2 can still make it (Ottawa, Winnipeg). I don't follow the West much, but the Redwings (21 season playoff streak!) are currently on the outside looking in, but do seem to control their own destiny. Minnesota and Columbus would both make it if the season ended today.

We've been through lots of versions of lots of forum software over the years, including one complete switch in products. My guess is that they were renumbered at some point. I notice that administrator is #2 and I'm #3, so #1 was probably reserved for some built-in account at some point.

Looking at this, my question is... whatever happened to Chuck Soper?

Alright, the official SS.com artwork is in the hands of the pros... it's out of my hands, now.
-
I have higher res, and "vector", art too if needed. Ha, you're right, I forgot that part. That was the nail in the coffin -- I clearly wasn't the cranky old man that jimdahl was.

This is going to hurt... do I go with my moniker and reveal my secret identity, or my real name and reveal my true identity? Not so funny story... about five years ago at a Frozen Four (St Louis?) a lot of people were introducing themselves to each other by SiouxSports handles at the UND party. Later that night, I was wearing one of my SiouxSports.com sweatshirts and chatting with some guy at a bar when a friend outed me to the guy. The guy said, "nice try, Jim is a guy much older than you". As flattered as I was, the two events led the said friends and I to come up with the plan to make SiouxSports caps where each cap had each person's unique handle on the back. Mass customization technology didn't quite prove to keep up with our idea, and we were never able to get the caps. Nice to see the dream coming to fruition. I haven't really looked into it the last few years, expecting SS to become obsolete in favor of UNDBlizzardsFans.com caps in coming years.

No, the way the software works the posts are tied to the account, so there's not really a good concept of removing old accounts. I'd say about 10% of accounts are "active" at any given time. But, that can also be a feature, it's not unheard of for someone to disappear for a few years and then reappear.

The crazy thing is, remember that Yale barely made the tournament. If either BU or Michigan had won their conference championship game, Yale wouldn't have even been in.

Congratulations to FSSD and Brainerd Sioux who tied for 1st in the 10th annual bracket! Past winners: 2012 mj3und 2011 tho0505 2009 Big A HG 2008 willtippen 2007 seanpc03 2006 teamsioux 2005 mynameiscuomo 2004 paul62/BigGreyAnt41/brew003/UP2SKI

Looks like FargoSioux's got it if QU wins, being the highest score that picked QU to win it all. FargoSioux picks Looking at the current scoring, it seems like FSSD and Brainerd Sioux will hold onto a tie for the lead if Yale wins, because I don't think anyone picked Yale.

Or so says Alabama... People in the South are not so fat after all -- and they lie less

Wow, amazing anyone thought to write that rule and put it in the books. Like I said, I assumed it was a more general "penalty shots are instead goals if the goalie is out" type rule. Thanks!
